AMSPA (Association of Malaysian Spas) "Voice of Wellness for the Malaysian Spa Industry."

The Association of Malaysian Spas, better known as AMSPA is a national spa association formed as a cohesive body to nurture, develop, and move the Malaysian spa industry forward by ensuring that standards and professionalism are unheld to all times by its members. AMSPA is the first and the longest established spa association in Malaysia, and is the recognised 'Voice of Wellness' for the Malaysian

Spa Industry. Today AMSPA is a member of the Malaysian National Spa Council, as well as the Steering Committee of the Tourism NKEA. AMSPA also works hand in hand with the Ministry of Tourism on its Spa Rating and is a member of the spa rating team. The working relationships established by AMSPA with various Ministries and Government Agencies enable it to provide an effective platform for its members to voice opinions, format strategies, discuss challenges in a cohesive and effective environment.

The Urutan Malaysia: Train the Trainer Training & Hospitality With Heart: Elevating Wellness Experience for Visit Malaysia 2026 programme wrapped up at Jen Penang Georgetown by Shangri-La, organised by the Association of Malaysia Spas (AMSPA).

The closing ceremony was officiated by YBrs. Dr. Annuar Bin Mohamed, Director of MOTAC Penang.

The programme aimed to equip participants with knowledge on promoting health and wellness tourism. Highlights included the presentation of participation certificates, along with the launch of the newly published AMSPA Spa & Wellness Guide 2026-2027 Volume 2.

AMSPA also took the opportunity to pay a visit to CHi Penang and Rock Spa to hand over the 2nd print of the AMSPA Spa & Wellness Guide 2026-2027.

What a week to remember!

The past week has been nothing short of extraordinary for AMSPA, filled with milestones, meaningful connections, and well-deserved recognition.

🌿 AMSPA AGM | 20 April 2026
We marked a monumental occasion as AMSPA held our AGM, celebrating 20 years of serving Malaysia's spa and wellness industry. The post-AGM celebration was made even more special by the presence of AMSPA's founding member, Dato' Ramona Suleiman, who has been the backbone of the association from day one and continues to inspire us all.

We were also honoured to welcome YBhg. Dato' Shaharuddin bin Abu Sohot, KSU of MOTAC, alongside esteemed guests from MOTAC KL & Putrajaya, Tourism Productivity Nexus (TPN), Islamic Tourism Centre (ITC), Tourism Malaysia, Federation of Malaysian Business Association (FMBA), Peniagawati, the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA), and our valued industry partner, the Malaysian Association of Wellness & Spa (MAWSPA).

Thank you to all who joined us in commemorating this incredible milestone.

This award is a testament to the dedication, hard work, and initiatives that AMSPA has championed in raising the standard of Malaysia's spa industry and positioning Malaysia as one of the top spa and wellness hubs in Southeast Asia and beyond.
