📣Updates on Art for the Land, Voices for the Soil📣
We are deeply moved by the amount of support and attention received throughout the 4 exhibition days! A whooping RM120,763.85 of total sales were made through the artists’ work and generous amount of RM75,379.99 was directly contributed to Fund a Land with Kongsi in racing against time to secure a 30+ year old organic farmland! Without the amazing artists and crafters that saw the need to contribute, we would not have been able to be come one meaningful milestone closer in reaching our goal. Thank you to all artists .potters , with heartwarming special thanks to for initiating this eye- and heart-opening experience of the power of art in connecting people, soil and nature. And also big thank you to those whom contributed for the Future of Food exhibit namely .taischoice, , , Dr Azman and .coop! (More in the next posts)
The opening ceremony would not have been successful without the community effort of emcee .illysia , performer , Chinese ink painting master (the Sparrow whisperer) Mr Yap Hong Ngee, and the amazing zero waste F&B team , , Doodle Dough and the whole working team made up of Kongsi co-owners and volunteers as well as our venue support .my! It was made even more special with the gracing of YB Teresa Kok as she is big supporter of community initiatives and cooperatives like ours and encouraged guests to join Kongsi Co-op and support the Fund a Land movement.
If this speaks to you, we are looking for 50 individuals or groups to help raise RM50,000 each. You don’t have to do it alone - gather your friends, your community, and be part of securing this land together.
