🌸 International Women’s Day 2026

Today, we celebrate the strength, resilience, and courage of women everywhere.

At the same time, YES reflects on the realities faced by many women, especially refugee women, who continue to experience inequality, limited opportunities, and social challenges.

Through education, empowerment programs, and community support, YES remains committed to supporting refugee women and creating spaces where their voices can be heard and their potential can grow.

This day reminds us that building a more equal world requires solidarity, awareness, and collective action.

Together, let’s continue to support, uplift, and empower women everywhere. 💜

🩵 Throwback to our Human Trafficking Prevention Workshop at Camp 22, Bangladesh

On 20 December 2025, we successfully conducted the Human Trafficking Prevention Workshop at Camp 22, Bangladesh, bringing together 25 youth participants in a safe and engaging learning space.
Through interactive discussions and scenario-based activities, participants learned how to recognize trafficking risks, identify early warning signs, and take practical steps to protect themselves and their communities. The session was facilitated by two trainers and supported by three helpers, ensuring active participation throughout the workshop.

This workshop was more than awareness—it was about empowerment, safety, and collective responsibility. The positive feedback and enthusiasm from participants remind us that informed youth are key to building safer and stronger communities.

🤍 Together, we learn. Together, we prevent. Together, we protect.

Throwback 💙

At Youth Empowerment Support (YES), education has always been at the heart of our mission. In 2024, we established the Refugee Peace Academy after identifying a critical gap—there was no school or community center in the area. Within just one year, the academy grew to nearly 48 students, and we proudly celebrated our first graduation of kindergarten and primary students.

Today, YES supports two schools for refugee children, creating safe learning spaces where children can learn, grow, and dream. Many of our students aspire to become doctors, leaders, professors, police officers, and more. Education remains our top priority—refugee children are future leaders.

We welcome school donations, especially special education tools, stationery, equipment, chairs, tables, and any useful learning materials. Teaching volunteers are also warmly welcome. Please help spread the word and share with your networks—every support makes a difference.

Special thanks to everyone who has supported this journey. Providing education and helping children build their dreams is at the core of what we do. 🙏

🇸🇴Throwback | Emergency Water Aid Response in Somalia💧

Throwback to a critical humanitarian response led by *Youth Empowerment Support (YES Somalia)*, delivering *emergency water aid* to communities affected by severe drought and ongoing conflict.

This intervention took place in Baidoa, at an internally displaced persons (IDP) camp in southwestern Somalia, where many displaced families (barakacyaal) continue to face extreme water shortages. Limited access to clean water has made daily survival increasingly difficult. In response to urgent community requests, YES Somalia mobilized and delivered emergency water assistance. InshaAllah, we will continue to stand with affected communities and extend our support.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Shafici, Head of YES Somalia, and the dedicated YES Somalia team for their leadership and commitment in organizing and delivering this life-saving assistance.

YES Somalia works closely with communities and will continue to stand in support during emergencies, expanding our water aid response to areas where needs remain critical. This initiative reflects our commitment to the *Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)*, particularly ensuring access to clean water and humanitarian assistance for vulnerable populations.

🤝 Call for Collaboration and Support

We welcome collaborations with organizations and partners who are willing to support this urgent response. Communities in displacement camps continue to be severely affected by drought and water scarcity. Your support is urgently needed to help save lives and restore dignity.

📩 *Please reach out to us if you are interested in collaborating or supporting this initiative.*
