🫶🌹Empowering Growth and Sustainability: IWCKL Completes PKIK Project🌹🫶

13 October 2026 — Bringing comfort, protection, and long-term support close to 100 special needs children and adults, 28 members of the Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur (IWCKL), alongside honoured guest IIW Past Board Director Alysandra Skerrett, gathered for a meaningful visit to Persatuan Kanak Kanak Istimewa Kajang (PKIK).

The morning began at 10.15am on a high note, with members enjoying a surprise snack box and water on board the bus by PP Datin Linda Koay.

Upon arrival, members were treated to an inspiring slide presentation highlighting PKIK’s history since its founding in 1995. The presentation showcased IWCKL’s steadfast, multi-year support in helping the centre GROW & FLOURISH. Grounded in IWCKL's commitment to sustainable impact, this project emphasizes long-term empowerment by ensuring service efforts foster independence, resilience, and lasting stability for the students.

The highlight of the visit was to witness two newly completed contributions aimed at enhancing the daily comfort and function of the centre:
• 40-Foot Motorised Awning: Installed to shelter students from heavy rain when boarding and alighting from their transport.
• Workplace Partitions: Added to the vocational work stations to create dedicated, focused spaces for the students.

These key additions were generously donated by IWCKL Past President Datin Linda Koay on behalf of her granddaughter, Ms. Charlotte Koay. Furthering the spirit of giving, members also brought along pre-loved books and toys to enrich the children's learning and playtime.

After the meaningful tour of PKIK, the day concluded with a sumptuous lunch hosted once again by the gracious PP Datin Linda Koay in Kajang. Everyone went home with full stomachs, a sweet gift container of “kaya”, and hearts filled with deep gratitude and joy for another impactful service project completed together, a big thank you to PP Datin Linda Koay who sponsored the entire project and trip the moment we stepped onto the coach 🙏❤️

🌹🫶IWCKL Presidential Project 2026/2027 Kick-off🌹🫶

On September 26, 2026, 22 enthusiastic members of the Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur (IWCKL) set off on a heartwarming journey to Kampung Gading, Pahang, to celebrate the completion of five newly built H Water Wells, the very first Presidential Project for the 2026/27 term.

The adventure began early with a bus ride, stopping first for a delicious lunch of Udang Galah in Rompin. Upon arriving at Kg Gading, the members were greeted with a touching, traditional welcome: handmade garlands and a charming dance performed by five Orang Asli girls.

After enjoying a chicken rice lunch by IWCKL, the members rolled up our sleeves to distribute essentials in the forms of daily provisions (rice, cooking oil, flour, sugar, instant noodles, and canned food) for every family. Sponsored Prescott water bottles, pre-loved toys, and children's clothing were also part of the giveaways.

The highlight of the visit was visiting two of the five newly built wells. Village head Tok Batin Azman and villager Kamarul proudly shared his experience in digging and building the wells, demonstrating how water is now seamlessly pumped into storage tanks for daily use and agricultural needs. Tok Batin expressed deep gratitude to IWCKL, noting how these fresh water wells have completely transformed daily life in the village.

Adding an empowering twist to the day, our very own "Permaisuri Taugeh," ISO Navam, led a lively demonstration on how to easily grow fresh bean sprouts (taugeh) as a sustainable food source.

"Little things can mean so much, turning simple acts of kindness into lasting ripples of resilience."

Our journey to Kg Gading perfectly embodies the Inner Wheel theme of "Grow & Flourish." True community development goes beyond a one-off donation; it is about planting seeds of independence and long-term empowerment. By providing clean water infrastructure, we eliminate the daily struggle for basic survival needs, allowing the village to focus on health, agriculture, and education. Empowering the villagers with tools like sustainable farming ideas (bean sprout cultivation) fosters self-reliance. When communities have reliable access to essential resources, they no longer just survive but they grow, adapt, and truly flourish. Seeing how much joy a simple well brought to the villagers left all of us with full, grateful hearts as we bade farewell to Kg Gading.

After wrapping up our meaningful village visit, the members headed to Pekan for an evening of bonding, laughter, and a cozy pyjama fellowship party, where members shared their favourite reflections from the day.

The next morning rounded off the trip with a vibrant sarong and fan photo session sponsored by Datin Brenda, capturing the shared sisterhood before heading home. Every member returned to Kuala Lumpur with a deep sense of fulfilment, carrying the warmth of Kg Gading and the true spirit of Inner Wheel service.

Her presence and the good she has done for Malaysia will always be remembered. May YAB Tun Siti Hasmah rest in peace and may her family be comforted by the Greater One 🙏

🌹🎉Petals of Elegance: IWCKL Celebrates District 330 Installation and 46th District AGM🌹🎉

A vibrant delegation of 21 members from the Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur (IWCKL) gathered at the Premiere Hotel, Klang, on Friday, 18th September 2026, to attend District 330 Chairman Saraswathy Veloo's Installation for the 2026–2027 term. Centred around the theme “Petals of Elegance,” the installation dinner was an inspiring evening dedicated to fellowship, friendship, and shared celebration.

Before the formal proceedings took place, attendees were treated to mesmerising dance performances by the renowned Sutera Foundation, founded by Malaysia’s iconic cultural figure, Datuk Ramli Ibrahim. The cultural energy continued to rise with dynamic dance performances by members from both IWCKL and IWC Klang. As the formal parts of the evening commenced, the newly appointed Executive Committee (Exco) was proudly introduced, taking their pledge to lead and support the District for the promising year ahead. Adding to the evening's charm and symbolic spirit, District 330 Chairman Saraswathy presented attendees with a meaningful giveaway—a ginger plant. This thoughtful gift perfectly reflected the call to nurture, cultivate, and Grow and Flourish together as one united Inner Wheel family. The night ended on a high note for IWCKL, with eight of its members taking home the main lucky draw prizes.

The following day marked the 46th District Annual General Meeting (DAGM), demonstrating the collective commitment and dedication of members toward strengthening both individual Clubs and the District as a whole. The DAGM proceeded smoothly and was followed by an informative briefing by the Registrar of Societies (ROS) alongside a hands-on training session for office bearers.

Everyone departed feeling fulfilled, enriched with new knowledge, and thoroughly inspired to embrace the International Inner Wheel theme, “Grow and Flourish”—working hand in hand to nurture their clubs, empower communities, and bloom together in service and friendship.

✨ A Memorable Trip in Penang ✨

On 28 August 2026 Friday, 12 members of The Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur (IWCKL) flew to Penang and from the moment they landed, the eating and shopping spree began!

The intention was to attend the The Inner Wheel Club of Penang 18th Installation of President Datin Hjh Gulbanu Sultananali with District 330 Chairman Saraswathy Veloo as the Guest of Honour.

It was a beautifully organised and memorable evening, filled with warmth, camaraderie and celebration. One of the highlights was a captivating face-changing performance by a remarkably talented 8-year-old boy, which delighted everyone.

The formalities were followed by a wonderful fellowship dinner, after which the evening came alive with music and dancing. Our members danced the night away, creating many joyful memories together.

The following day, the members of IWC Penang hosted us with a delicious home-cooked lunch. Their generous hospitality and thoughtful gesture added another special touch to our visit and made us feel truly at home.

As the mother club, IWCKL made a donation to IWC Penang with a simple cheque presentation done at Joy 6 Club.

It was indeed a wonderful time of friendship, fellowship and celebration, filled with cherished memories that will be fondly remembered by all who attended. ❤️✨

IWCKL AT THE 27TH INSTALLATION DINNER FOR IWC KLANG

On August 8, 2026, eleven members of the Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur (IWCKL) gathered at the Premier Hotel, Klang, to attend the 27th Installation Dinner for the Inner Wheel Club of Klang. Dressed in their finest attire, the IWCKL delegation arrived in full support to celebrate the official installation of incoming President Dr. Lakshmi and her executive committee.

The evening opened with heartfelt reflections from Immediate Past President Lalitha, who shared touching speeches highlighting the remarkable projects and milestones achieved during her term before gracefully handing over the baton. District Chairman Saraswathy Veloo also took the podium, delivering an inspiring address that reminded everyone of the core values and impactful reach of the Inner Wheel community.

Throughout the night, attendees enjoyed lively performances alongside a sumptuous dinner. Adding to the excitement, luck favoured IWCKL as two of its members swept up prizes during the lucky draw sessions.

It was a vibrant night filled with laughter, vibrant entertainment, and true fellowship. The IWCKL members returned home with full hearts, full stomachs, and wonderful memories of a memorable celebration supporting their sister club.

IWCKL Celebrates with IWC Kuantan/Indera Mahkota on Their 39th Installation

Road trips, laughter, and sisterhood made for an unforgettable weekend as four representatives from the Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur (IWCKL) President Sharon, Advisor Foong Pack, Committee Member Cindy, and member Angie Tai, headed for Kuantan on Saturday, 15th August 2026. The journey set the tone for the trip, packed with good food, shopping stops, and constant fun along the way.

The main highlight of the trip was attending the 39th Installation Dinner of the Inner Wheel Club of Kuantan/Indera Mahkota at The Rocana Hotel. Embracing the romantic theme "A Touch of Rose", guests were warmly welcomed with charming handmade rose tokens.

The evening was a resounding success, marked by emotional and heartfelt speeches as Outgoing President Samini handed the reins to the newly installed President Datin Sri Dr Suja and her Exco. The night sparkled with engaging quizzes, delicious food, and lively celebrations. IWCKL had extra reason to cheer when IWCKL's very own Advisor Foong Pack bagged a well-deserved Best Dressed award! The vibrant night concluded with everyone hitting the dance floor to celebrate the joyous occasion.

The warm hospitality didn't stop there. The next morning, the ladies from IWC Kuantan/Indera Mahkota joined the IWCKL ladies for breakfast and took them for a round of shopping trip before final goodbyes were exchanged.

Filled with lovely memories, shared moments, and deepened bonds, the four ladies made their way back to their respective homes, celebrating yet another beautiful chapter of true fellowship and personal service.
