The Youth Action for Myanmar (YAM)
Ramadan Mubarak from the Rohingya Refugee Camps, Cox’s Bazar

From the heart of the Rohingya refugee community, we send our warmest Ramadan greetings to every soul, at every stage of life.
This sacred month is for everyone —
For our elders who fast with steadfast faith,

for our youth striving through long days and nights of worship with patience and sacrifice,
And for new converts who take courageous steps toward Allah (SWT), inspiring us all with their strength and sincerity.
InshaAllah, Taraweeh prayers will begin tonight in the camps after Ishaa at 8:00 PM, and the first day of Ramadan will be tomorrow, February 19th 2026
May Allah (SWT) accept every fast, reward every intention, strengthen every heart, and fill this Ramadan with mercy, forgiveness, and peace for our community and the entire Ummah.
Ramadan Mubarak. 🌙

Happy New Year 2026!

As we welcome the New Year, Youth Action for Myanmar (YAM) reflects on the voices, images, and stories rising from the Rohingya refugee camps.

Through photo voice, we share daily life, crowded shelters, small moments of joy, and the quiet strength of a people living in exile.
Life in the camps is not easy. Education remains one of the greatest challenges. Many children grow up without proper schools, without books, and without a clear future.

Yet, they continue to dream. They continue to smile. They continue to hope.Photography, art, and writing give Rohingya youth a way to speak when words are not enough. Through creativity, we show the world our struggle, our dignity, and our shared humanity.

In 2026, YAM’s wish is not only for success, but for courage to keep creating in difficult times and to keep telling stories that matter. May this year bring light to forgotten voices and hope to a generation that deserves a future.
From the Rohingya refugee camps, Youth Action for Myanmar wishes you a creative, meaningful, and compassionate New Year.

Let us capture truth.
Let us share hope.
Let us remember humanity.
Happy New Year to all.

Thanaka on their faces, pain in their hearts , a beautiful tradition carried through a life of struggle. Even in the camps, Rohingya's identity survives with strength and dignity.

In a world where every child deserves the right to thrive, it is imperative that we unite and advocate for access to clean, safe, and nurturing environments. Our children deserve spaces where they can play freely, learn with joy, and dream without limits, like every other children across the globe.

Every day, countless children face challenges that we cannot ignore. Their struggles remind us that we have a collective responsibility. It is our duty to amplify their voices, to listen with compassion, and to stand up for their needs. Together, we can create a world where every child feels loved, secure, and empowered.

Imagine a future where laughter fills the air instead of despair, where children can explore their potential without fear. This is not just a dream; it is a possibility we can achieve if we work hand in hand. Let us foster hope and security for our young ones, ensuring they have the opportunities they deserve.

Let this message be a beacon of light a reminder that together, we can make a difference. Every small action counts. Whether it's volunteering, advocating for policies that protect our children, or simply spreading awareness, your contribution matters.

Join us in this essential mission. Let’s create a legacy of love, safety, and opportunity for generations to come.

International Day of the Girl 2025

Today, on the International Day of the Girl, we turn our hearts and our focus to some of the world’s most resilient daughters — the Rohingya refugee girls.

Displaced, unheard, and often invisible to the world, these girls face unimaginable challenges every day — from limited access to education, healthcare, and safety, to the heavy weight of statelessness and trauma. Yet, even in the darkest corners of refugee camps, they continue to shine — with courage, with hope, and with dreams bigger than their borders.

👉🏽 Empowerment is not charity — it is justice.
Every girl has the right to learn, to lead, to live in dignity. And when we uplift a Rohingya girl, we are not just changing her story — we are changing the future of her community, and the world.

This year, let us move beyond awareness to action.
🔹 Invest in refugee girls' education.
🔹 Create safe spaces for their voices to rise.
🔹 Protect their rights — not just in theory, but in practice.

📢 Let us be loud for the girls who have been silenced for too long.
Because every girl — regardless of nationality, ethnicity, or status — deserves to be seen, heard, and empowered.

Mental health support is not a luxury — it’s a lifeline.

In 2017, hundreds of thousands of Rohingyas were forced to flee unspeakable violence in Myanmar — a brutal campaign of persecution and genocide that tore families apart and left deep psychological scars. Homes burned, lives shattered, loved ones lost.

Though they found physical refuge across the border, the invisible wounds — trauma, grief, fear — remain.

At Youth Action For Myanmar we believe healing must go beyond mental health care is a core part of our emergency response. Because recovery means restoring dignity, resilience, and hope.

As approaches, we call on the global community:
Prioritize mental health. Increase funding. Reach those whose pain cannot always be seen — but is deeply felt.

The Rohingyas have endured the unimaginable. Let us ensure they are not forgotten.
