Celebrating Borneo’s Heritage Through Unity and Respect 🌹🫶✨

As someone from a different ethnic background, having the opportunity to wear and showcase the traditional attire of the Bidayuh community is truly a meaningful and enriching experience. This moment is more than simply presenting a beautiful cultural attire. It is an opportunity to learn, appreciate, and honour the identity, artistry, values, and living heritage of one of Borneo’s remarkable communities. In line with my role as an Ambassador of Malaysia Borneo Cultural and Heritage Association by Persatuan Kebudayaan dan Warisan Malaysia Borneo (Malaysia Borneo Cultural And Heritage Association Network - MANTRA), I see this as a meaningful platform to continue promoting cultural understanding, unity, and appreciation across the diverse communities of Sabah, Sarawak, and Malaysia as a whole. Culture becomes more powerful when it is shared with respect. Heritage becomes more meaningful when it brings people together. My sincere appreciation to MANTRA for the trust, recognition, and opportunity to serve as an Ambassador. This appointment is both an honour and a responsibility to support MANTRA’s mission in preserving, promoting, and celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Malaysia Borneo.
