EMBASSY ADVISORY: CONTINUOUS HEAVY RAINFALL IN SARAWAK
The Philippine Embassy in Kuala Lumpur advises all Filipino nationals in Sarawak to exercise caution and remain vigilant following the advisory issued by the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) on the continuing heavy rainfall affecting several areas of the state.
SEVERE (Section A) areas expected to experience continuous heavy rainfall until Saturday, 10 January 2026: Kuching (Bau and Kuching), Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman (Sri Aman), and Betong (Pusa and Betong).
ALERT (Section B) areas expected to experience continuous rainfall until Saturday, 10 January 2026: Kuching (Lundu), Sri Aman (Lubok Antu), Betong (Saratok and Kabong), Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah, Bintulu, and Miri (Subis, Beluru, Miri and Marudi).
