The United Nations observes International Wesak Day on the first full moon day in May each year. However, as calendars and lunar calculations vary across regions, the date for Wesak Day differs from country to country. This year, for example, Myanmar observed it on 30 April; Cambodia, India and Laos on 1 May; Sri Lanka on 30 May; while Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand mark the occasion on 31 May.

The Earth has no second chance, and humanity can no longer wait.
Environmental destruction is not a distant threat;
it is a reality already happening.

Jing Si Hall is more than a place where environmental protection is discussed;
it is where green action begins.
Here, people move away from waste and towards conservation,
turning habits into awareness, and indifference into responsibility.
Plastic is sorted, resources are given new life,
and hearts, too, are awakened.

From the Jing Si Hall,
volunteers step into communities, schools and workplaces,
promoting green living
and turning awareness into lasting habits.

Join Xiao Tzu and Xiao Chi to witness
the moment when people stand up for the Earth, hand in hand.

Youth means more than dreaming of the world,
it means embracing it.

When hearts unite, young people
hold the power to transform the world.
At Jing Si Hall, university students from far and near gather.
What they learn is not just passion for a cause
but also the inspiration to take action
and the responsibility to see it through.

From humanistic culture and environmental protection
to charity and global humanitarian issues,
they gain exposure and refine themselves here,
stepping into corners of society where help is needed
to provide care with their own hands.

At Jing Si Hall, they come to realise
that “transforming the world” is never just a slogan; it is action.
It is not about waiting until one is ready,
but about becoming ready through action.

Come with Xiao Tzu and Xiao Chi
and witness how young people, with kindness and courage,
shape the future of our world, step by step.

parents and children grow together through shared experiences.
When children are happy, the home becomes warmer.

Jing Si Hall nurtures teachers not only to deliver lessons,
but to walk alongside children as they grow.
Parents are a child’s first role models; and teachers are examples they follow.
Here, teachers learn to cultivate hearts.
They trade canes for listening ears and replace blame with loving care,
becoming guiding lights through their presence.
For they know that education is the most direct way to sow seeds of hope,
and that children hold the power to transform society.

From Jing Si Hall, they visit schools, refugee learning centres, and classrooms in remote villages.
With Jing Si Aphorisms, they instil Tzu Chi’s humanistic values in young hearts,
cultivating kindness, guiding children towards goodness and growth,
and empowering them to transform their lives.

Through Jing Si Hall, teachers are reminded
that education is not merely the transfer of knowledge,
but the illumination of lives and the planting of hope for society.

In this episode, follow Xiao Tzu and Xiao Chi
into the classroom where dedicated teachers are nurtured.

🌿 In the rush of daily life,
it is so easy to speak before we listen,
or to judge before seeing the whole picture.

But as Master Cheng Yen reminds us,
we have two ears, two eyes, and two hands,
but only one mouth —
because we are meant to observe more,
listen more, do more,
and speak less.

Sometimes,
a quiet act of care
or a moment of true understanding
says far more than words ever could.

Some believe medicine is all about the precision of instruments
and cutting-edge technology.

At Jing Si Hall, healthcare professionals
learn to honour every life.

They gather here to grow together
through annual conferences and medical service programmes,
bringing medical students and practising professionals together
to rediscover what “patient-centred care” truly means.
Here, healthcare is not only about relieving pain, but also easing suffering.
It is not just about diagnosis, but about presence and companionship.

They travel to remote communities to offer free medical care.
They walk alongside cancer patients and stroke survivors,
helping them find hope in moments of darkness.
They speak of nutrition with professional insight,
of rehabilitation with patience and loving perseverance,
and offer gentle support when hearts are fragile.

Jing Si Hall is a place of learning beyond the white coat,
where healthcare professionals are reminded that
what stands before them is not disease, but a human being.

In this episode, Xiao Tzu and Xiao Chi will show how
healthcare professionals turn compassion into a calling,
using their professional skills to safeguard life and bring hope to the world.
