📈 Create KPIs to measure progress

The goal isn't simply to organize an activity.
The goal is to create a solution that addresses the real need and can produce meaningful results.
Don't just ask, “What can we do?”
Ask:
👉 “What solution can create lasting impact?”

A common mistake when trying to help is jumping straight into solutions.
But the JCI Action Framework begins with:
🔎 ANALYZE

Before taking action, understand the real problem.
This can include:
📊 Collecting data
📝 Conducting surveys
👥 Interviewing stakeholders
🔍 Researching online
💬 Asking “Why?” repeatedly
🏘️ Immersing yourself in the community

Why?
Because the problem we see may not be the problem that actually causes the situation.
Understand first.
Then solve.

Leadership isn't about age, position or having a title.
A young leader is someone who:
🌱 Is engaged with their community
💡 Takes responsibility for challenges
🤝 Creates positive change
🧠 Develops knowledge and skills
🎯 Finds targeted and sustainable solutions
❤️ Wants to improve quality of life for others

You don't have to be a president, CEO or manager to be a leader.
Sometimes leadership begins with something much simpler:
“I see a problem. What can I do about it?”
That is where leadership starts.

🔥 𝐉𝐂𝐈 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐚 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 – 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 🔥

Day 2 of the National Academy brought our Academians deeper into the realities of 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 — from self-awareness and professional presence to governance, communication and collaboration.

⛳ The day began with an energising 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗳 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲, before diving into 𝗘𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 (𝗘𝗤) 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 and 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲, 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 & 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, equipping Academians to lead with greater awareness, confidence and influence.

🔥 A special 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗝𝗖𝗜 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗩𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗟𝗲𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝘂𝘁𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗗𝗿 𝗝𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝘆 𝗧𝗼𝗻𝗴, offered valuable insights and perspectives from their leadership journeys.

Academians then sharpened their skills in 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 & 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗲, putting what they learned into action, followed by a practical 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗰𝗼𝗹 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲 and a Parliamentary Procedure Quiz.

🤝 Through 𝗚𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗲, teams were challenged to collaborate, strategise and work towards a shared goal — reinforcing that leadership is never a solo journey.

The evening continued with the 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻🎤. With feedback from the judges and results announced, it was another opportunity to learn, improve and grow.

From 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲 — Day 2 was another step towards becoming Presidents ready to 𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗘 𝗕𝗘𝗬𝗢𝗡𝗗 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗟𝗜𝗠𝗜𝗧𝗦! 🚀
