Erratic rainfall. Prolonged droughts. Flooding. Rising input costs. Soil degradation. Increasing pest pressure.
๐ก For independent smallholder and Wild Asia trainer Trenner Ensim, some of the most important climate solutions are found in the soil beneath his feet.
๐ Through the hashtag programme, Trenner has adopted regenerative farming practices โ from composting and biochar production to DIY enzyme fertilisers and crop diversification โ to rebuild soil health and strengthen climate resilience.
๐๐ As a field trainer, he is not only walking the talk but also helping fellow farmers make the transition.
๐ฏ The result: lower reliance on synthetic inputs and healthier soil and farms that are better equipped to withstand both climate and economic shocks.
๐ฏ๐ฏ Climate action isnโt only about reducing emissions. It's about helping farming systems adapt, regenerate, and remain productive in an increasingly uncertain future.
On this hashtag 2026, weโre reminded of environmentalist Paul Hawkenโs question in his thought-provoking book ๐ต๐๐๐ ๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ก:
