🌟 That’s a wrap on Step Up 2026!

25 students | 140+ volunteer hours

This year, 25 secondary and university students volunteered approximately 140 hours with our Step Up summer program, teaching maths and literacy and sharing plenty of energy in the classroom.

It has been wonderful to see our young volunteers step into the role of teacher — building their confidence, finding creative ways to engage our students and discovering the rewards of giving their time to others.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part this year. Your enthusiasm, commitment and willingness to get involved made a real difference.

Friendship, cultural exchange and shared experiences have been at the heart of our partnership with the British School of Kuala Lumpur so far in 2026.

From creative activities at our centre to exciting visits to the BSKL campus, these experiences have allowed students from both schools to learn from one another, build connections and create lasting memories together.

A huge thank you to the BSKL community for your kindness, generosity and warm welcome.

Our Kindy class has been enjoying the story We’re Going on a Lion Hunt! Through creativity and literacy activities, the children created their very own story grids to help sequence the events of the book.

Each student drew beautiful pictures and wrote captions to match different parts of the adventure, building their confidence in storytelling, comprehension, and early writing skills. We love seeing their imaginations and hard work shine through!

Brushing Bright Smiles in Pre-Kinder!

This week our little learners practiced the importance of brushing their teeth and keeping their smiles healthy!

Through songs, fun activities, and hands-on learning, our Pre-Kinder class discovered how brushing every morning and night helps keep teeth strong and clean.

We are so proud of our students for learning healthy habits that will last a lifetime! 🌟

Our grade 3 students have been exploring the incredible world of rainforests—learning about their importance, the challenges of deforestation, and the impact on wildlife like orangutans. 🌿🦧

As part of this unit, they’ve been building their persuasive writing skills—learning how to express ideas, form arguments, and speak up for causes that matter. The work shown here is part of that journey, reflecting their growing understanding and creativity.

Today we created a little bit of magic in our Pre-Kindy classroom as we began our new maths unit all about shapes ✨

There was so much excitement when our playdough cookies came out of the oven as real cookies! 🍪
