📅 ESG-MIA 26th Meeting Summary
Date: 13 August 2026
Theme: The Power of Habits
We kicked off our 26th meeting with an inspiring exploration of how small, consistent actions shape our lives—both on and off the stage.
A special shout-out to our first-time role players, who stepped up with enthusiasm and made the evening memorable:
· 🎤 Mia Nguyen – Toastmaster of the Evening
· 📝 Sakthis – Grammarian
· ⏱️ TK Tan – Ah Counter
Our heartfelt thanks to Kevin Wu for taking on the role of General Evaluator and guiding us through a session of constructive feedback and growth.
🎯 President's Sharing – Habits That Drive Goals
Our President reminded us that goals are just wishes without the right habits. He shared practical advice on developing intentional daily routines—starting small, staying consistent, and tracking progress—to turn aspirations into achievements. The key takeaway: your habits shape your future, so design them wisely.
🧠 High Achiever Grooming (HAG) Session – Facts Over Fame
Elysia led a powerful HAG session featuring video clips of a highly intelligent young Chinese KOL. The core message struck a chord with everyone:
"Regardless of who they are—if what they say is not based on facts, we should not listen to it."
The session reminded us that as aspiring high achievers, we must think critically, verify information, and never be swayed by status or charisma alone. True excellence is built on truth and evidence, not popularity.
🏆 Circle of Winners
Congratulations to our standout performers of the night:
· 🗣️ Best Table Topics Speaker – Sakthis, TM
· 📖 Best Project Speaker – Vassanty, PM2
· 🧐 Best Project Speech Evaluator – Angeline Ang, MS2
🌟 Special Encouragement – Sakthis
A huge round of applause to Sakthis, who has always struggled with the fear of impromptu speaking. Despite the nerves, he bravely stepped up, pushed past his comfort zone, and delivered a stellar Table Topics speech that won him the Best Table Topics Speaker award! 🎉
This is what The Power of Habits is all about—courage, consistency, and growth. Sakthis, we are so proud of you! Keep going—you've proven that fear is just a stepping stone to greatness.
Well done to everyone who contributed to a vibrant and supportive meeting. Let's keep building those powerful habits—one speech, one evaluation, one meeting at a time.
