🤝 NATIONAL PRESIDENTS’ MEETING RECAP | JCI ASPAC NIIGATA 2026

The National Presidents and representatives of National Organizations across the Asia-Pacific region gathered for the National Presidents’ Meeting as part of the JCI ASPAC Niigata 2026 Conference.

The meeting provided an opportunity for national organizations to share updates on their activities, highlight key achievements, discuss common challenges, and exchange practical experiences in membership development, young leader training, and the implementation of projects that create positive impacts within their communities.

Through open discussions and a spirit of collaboration, the meeting strengthened regional connections and reaffirmed our shared commitment to developing young leaders and driving positive change in our communities.

Together, we continue to Lead, Connect, and Evolve toward a stronger, more connected, and more prosperous Asia-Pacific region.

HIGHLIGHT DAY 2 - ASPAC SENATE OPENING CEREMONY

The 2026 JCI ASPAC Senate Opening Ceremony was held in grand style at the Main Hall, setting an exciting and vibrant tone for the conference. The event opened with a spectacular performance inspired by the Fusion Night theme, creating a memorable beginning for ASPAC in a way that was uniquely our Senators’.

Distinguished guests delivered congratulatory remarks and shared their expectations for a successful, meaningful, and highly connected ASPAC Conference. The enthusiasm and anticipation throughout the venue marked a memorable milestone, officially kicking off the journey of the 2026 JCI ASPAC Niigata Conference.

2026 JCI ASPAC HIGHLIGHT | ASPAC NIIGATA 2026 PRAYER CEREMONY

Ahead of the opening of 2026 JCI ASPAC Niigata, JCI leaders and international delegates gathered for a Prayer Ceremony for the success of the Conference at Hakusan Shrine, one of Niigata City's most historic cultural landmarks.

The ceremony was attended by JCI World President Alejandra Castillo, ASPAC Chairman Ben Mak, JCI Secretary General Elvin Teo, JCI leaders, representatives of JCI Japan, JCI Niigata, and the ASPAC Niigata 2026 Organizing Committee.

In a solemn and meaningful atmosphere, participants shared their hopes and aspirations for a successful, safe, and impactful ASPAC Conference, which is expected to welcome more than 7,000 delegates from across the Asia-Pacific region.

The ceremony also served as an opportunity to honor local culture while reflecting the spirit of unity and collaboration among nations, all working together toward the Conference theme: “Be the Change for a Brighter Future.”

𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 | 𝗚𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗢𝗥 & 𝗠𝗔𝗬𝗢𝗥 𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗘𝗣𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

Ahead of the official opening of ASPAC Niigata 2026, the Governor & Mayor Reception was held on June 10 in Niigata, Japan, warmly welcoming JCI leaders and members from across the Asia-Pacific region.

The reception was attended by JCI World President Alejandra Castillo, ASPAC Chairman Ben Mak, JCI Japan President Daisuke Kato, JCI Niigata President Ryuji Takasugi, along with numerous JCI leaders and international delegates.

In their welcoming remarks, Niigata Governor Hideyo Hanazumi and Niigata Mayor Yaichi Nakahara expressed their sincere appreciation to all delegates and shared their hopes that ASPAC Niigata 2026 will serve as a bridge for friendship, cultural exchange, and international collaboration throughout the region.

Representing JCI, World President Alejandra Castillo and ASPAC Chairman Ben Mak extended their heartfelt gratitude to the Niigata Prefectural Government, Niigata City Government, partner organizations, the Organizing Committee, and thousands of dedicated volunteers whose hard work has made this landmark event possible.

The leaders also highlighted their pride in hosting ASPAC in Japan, a nation with a rich JCI legacy and a longstanding reputation for responsibility, innovation, hospitality, and meaningful contributions to the global community.

Under the theme “Be the Change for a Brighter Future,” ASPAC Niigata 2026 brings together more than 7,000 young leaders from across nations and territories. More than a conference, it is a call to action for every JCI member to become a catalyst for positive change and help build a brighter future for communities, countries, and the world.

The reception marked the beginning of an inspiring journey—one where new ideas are shared, new friendships are formed, and new opportunities for collaboration emerge, reflecting the spirit of connection and development that ASPAC continues to champion.

🌏 2026 JCI ASPAC NIIGATA – READY TO CONNECT ASIA AND THE PACIFIC

On June 10, the official press conference for 2026 JCI ASPAC Niigata was successfully held at the Toki Messe Niigata Convention Center, marking an important milestone ahead of the largest JCI event in the Asia-Pacific region.

The press conference was attended by Alejandra Castillo, JCI World President; Ben Mak, ASPAC Congress President; Daisuke Kato, JCI Japan President; Ryuji Takasugi, JCI Niigata President; and Shin Uono, Chairperson of the Organizing Committee.

During the event, ASPAC Congress President Ben Mak shared the vision and significance of ASPAC Niigata 2026, while highlighting key features of the Congress program, its positive impact on the local economy, and the international collaboration opportunities it will create for the future.

JCI Japan President Daisuke Kato also emphasized the importance of dialogue, mutual understanding, and friendship that transcend national and cultural boundaries. He expressed his hope that events such as ASPAC will continue to contribute to building a more peaceful, sustainable, and connected world.

ASPAC 2026 Niigata has officially launched and is expected to welcome more than 7,000 delegates from countries and territories across the region, promising a Congress filled with meaningful connections and a strong commitment to advancing JCI’s mission of developing young leaders.
