Yayasan Sejahtera YAYASAN SEJAHTERA is an NGO focusing on poverty eradication for the valuable community development.

Although Malaysia has successfully transformed itself into one of the world’s most open economy and one of the region’s strongest economy, national poverty remains a problem. There are pockets of extreme poverty that still exist in the country especially among the geographically remote Sabah and Sarawak. There are a total of 3.6% Malaysian population currently living under extreme poverty.

Yayasan Sejahtera and the Ungku Aziz Centre for Development Studies are conducting this Training Interest Survey to better understand the capacity-building needs of Organisations, working in the social impact sector : NGOs, social enterprises, foundations, corporate CSR/ESG teams, and organisations involved in community development.

Specifically, we are exploring interest in :-

✅️Reporting & Accountability
✅️Social Impact Measurement.

Your feedback will help us:

🔍 Identify priority learning needs and skill gaps.

📝 Design practical, relevant and industry-focused training programmes.

𝗘𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆-𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗣𝗼𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀

Designed to meet the poultry industry requirement, the 10 selected participants from Kg Tua and Kg Tanah Hitam, S*k Kedah, attended a poultry management training session in April, led by Puan Aishah Ayob from Bahagian Perkhidmatan dan Penyelarasan Unggas, Jabatan Veterinar Negeri Kedah. We appreciate this meaningful collaboration and the valuable insights shared with our participants.

The comprehensive training aimed to equip the participants with critical skills across five core areas
-Poultry farming management
-Livestock disease control
-Farm operations management
-Livestock nutrition management
-Licensing, compliance & industry regulations.

True empowerment goes beyond providing resources. It requires capacity building and by mastering these areas, the participants are equipped with the technical know-how and regulatory understanding to operate successful, sustainable and compliant free-range poultry farms.

As part of the livelihood initiative, comprehensive site assessments were carried out with potential beneficiaries and their households to evaluate their living conditions and suitability based on the programme criteria. The team also visited the proposed locations for chicken coop construction to ensure the sites met the requirements for a sustainable and productive poultry project.

A key milestone during the visit was the signing of the Surat Aku Janji by all 10 participants, symbolising their commitment to the programme’s guidelines and operational responsibilities. This
agreement reflects a shared commitment towards accountability, participation, and the long-term sustainability of the initiative.

We commend the participants for their dedication and look forward to witnessing the positive impact this programme will bring to their livelihoods and communities.

Assalamualaikum and Salam Nuzul Quran,

The month of Ramadan is known to be called by many virtuous names. Amongst many, it is known as the month of Al-Quran. In fact, the Quran was revealed in the month of Ramadan. Allah s.w.t. mentions in Surah Al-Baqarah:

شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أُنزِلَ فِيهِ ٱلْقُرْءَانُ هُدًى لِّلنَّاسِ وَبَيِّنَـٰتٍ مِّنَ ٱلْهُدَىٰ وَٱلْفُرْقَانِ
Ramadan is the month in which the Quran was revealed as a guide for humanity with clear proofs of guidance and the standard (to distinguish between right and wrong)
(Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:185)

On this auspicious occasion of Nuzul Quran, Yayasan Sejahtera extends heartfelt wishes to everyone. Nuzul Quran commemorates the night when the first verses of the Holy Quran were revealed to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), bringing guidance and light to humanity.
