Don't wait until all your data has been collected before you begin analyzing. Start analyzing as soon as the first interview or observation is completed.
Early analysis helps you:
- Identify emerging patterns and themes.
- Refine interview questions for subsequent participants.
- Recognize gaps that require further exploration.
- Strengthen the depth and quality of your findings.

💡 Remember: In qualitative research, data collection and data analysis often occur simultaneously.

In qualitative research, design is not merely a technical decision, it reflects your philosophical stance, research goals, and the nature of the phenomenon being studied. Whether you choose phenomenology, case study, grounded theory, or narrative inquiry, each design offers a distinct way of understanding human experience.

🔎 Research Tip:
Before deciding on a design, ask yourself:
• What is the main purpose of my study?
• Am I exploring lived experiences, developing theory, or understanding a bounded case?
• What kind of data will best answer my research questions?
