The hidden cost of employee turnover isn't recruitment. It's everything that happens before someone decides to leave.

Many organisations focus on KPIs, productivity, and performance metrics. Yet one of the strongest drivers of sustainable business performance is often overlooked: psychosocial risk.

Employees don't simply leave jobs. They leave:
* Chronic stress
* Unsustainable workloads
* Poor leadership
* Feeling undervalued
* Burnout

These workplace factors directly affect engagement, productivity, innovation, absenteeism, and ultimately organisational performance.

A healthy workplace is not just an HR initiative—it is a strategic business investment.

At IKATAN, we believe that creating psychologically safe workplaces is essential for building resilient organisations where both people and performance can flourish.

People first. Performance follows.

Behind Every Rescue, a Mind That Needs Saving.

As an organization dedicated to community safety, IKATAN couldn't be prouder of our team, Ko Teik Yen, Elize Lee, and Dr. Zahari Ishak, for championing the mental health of our dedicated first responders at ACOH 2026.

This project is more than just data to us. It is a reflection of our duty to those who protect us.

Presenting our findings validated what we see on the ground every day: 70% lack trauma recovery access, and 66% hesitate to speak up because of stigma. The courage our first responders show is immense, but the system supporting them must be equally robust.

We are committed to turning these insights into action. It’s time to bridge the gap between policy and practice, ensuring "Psychological PPE" is the standard, not the exception.

Terima kasih to ACOH 2026 for the platform and to all the Emergency Responders who trusted us with their stories. We will keep pushing for a safer, mentally sustainable future for our frontline heroes.

When others run out, we run in to support them.

A meeting with HRD Corp to better understand the new regulations, a move that has been talked about since it took effect. It is understandable why this is necessary. A way forward for better and more effective management for both training providers and companies, as well as HRDC itself.
Thank you to the top management team of CE and COO for receiving us.

Recap:

Safety isn't built by chance—it is built by choice.

Every organisation that invests in safety and health training is making a conscious decision to protect what matters most: its people.

Over the past weeks, we've had the privilege of working with organisations across Malaysia through both in-house workplace training and public programmes. It is encouraging to see more employers taking proactive steps to strengthen workplace safety, health, and wellbeing—not because they have to, but because they understand that prevention is always better than cure.

Thank you for making safety a priority. Together, let's continue building a stronger culture of safety. 💙
