**Andrew Cheah On Sir**, President of **Persatuan Kebajikan Bunga Matahari KL**:
**Official Statement from Persatuan Kebajikan Bunga Matahari Kuala Lumpur**
**Regarding the Late Madam Tan (Chen Mama)**
It is with deep sadness that we confirm the passing of Madam Tan, fondly known as *Chen Mama*. We sincerely hope that everyone will refrain from using her name or situation to create unnecessary misunderstandings or issues.
When Chen Mama lost contact with us, I personally made several attempts to reach her through our volunteer, Ah Juan, and Uncle Kentang. By God’s grace, we received information from her neighbour about her condition. Together with Uncle Kentang, we immediately rushed to her apartment and sought assistance from the *Bomba* (Fire and Rescue Department) to rescue her.
Chen Mama was then sent to the hospital by ambulance. I subsequently followed up with Uncle Kentang to check on her condition.
A few weeks later, after being informed by her neighbour, I learned that Chen Mama had been admitted to **Pertubuhan Kebajikan Chester**, an old folks’ home, where she was kindly cared for by the principal, Ms. Shirley. I personally call Ms. Shirley to explain Chen Mama’s background and assured her that we would continue to provide any necessary support or information.
The reason I made the recent Facebook post was to inform the public that Chen Mama has peacefully passed away. Ms. Shirley and the team at Pertubuhan Kebajikan Chester will be handling her funeral arrangements. After the cremation, our association will assist Ms. Shirley in placing Chen Mama’s ashes at **Kwong Tong Cemetery**, together with her late daughter and husband—according to Chen Mama’s final wishes.
We hope this clarification helps prevent any misunderstanding and provides a clear account of the situation. May Chen Mama rest in peace.
