📢 IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL SUNFLOWER VOLUNTEERS AND MEMBERS
Dear Sunflower family, volunteers, and members,
We would like to share an important update regarding the current situation of Sunflower and our plans for the future.
Recently, we received a notification from the Registrar of Societies Malaysia (ROS) regarding the termination of our organisation’s registration. We are currently preparing to submit an appeal to the Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN) and will continue to follow the relevant procedures.
In the meantime, we hope everyone will remain calm and allow us some time and space to handle this matter appropriately.
We would also like everyone to understand that since the Johor floods in 2023, Sunflower has basically not conducted any public fundraising or public donation activities. Over the past few years, our public activities and overall operations have also been significantly reduced.
Therefore, as far as our current service direction is concerned, whether the organisation has its registration status or not does not change our desire to serve the community, care for the elderly, and share love and joy through music.
We believe that the most important part of an organisation is not merely its name or registration status, but the purpose it was established for, the values it upholds, and the positive impact it can bring to society.
Although Sunflower’s activities have been reduced over the past few years, we have never forgotten the reason why this organisation was established.
Our desire has always been simple — to serve, to care, and to bring love and joy to the community.
Therefore, while we await further updates from ROS / KDN, we also plan to move forward in a new direction:

Moving forward, we hope to develop Sunflower Music Ministry into a platform that shares love through music, connects people through service, and brings warmth to the community through care and compassion.
We look forward to organising music sharing sessions, charity performances, elderly home visits, community outreach, volunteer activities, and other meaningful service initiatives, so that more people can experience warmth, joy, and hope.
🎵 Music is not only entertainment; it can also be a blessing.
❤️ Service is not just about activities; it is also about the heart behind them.
🌻 Sunflower is not just a name; it represents a love that we hope to continue carrying forward.
We also hope that, in the future, more volunteers, members, music lovers, and friends who share this vision will join us, learn together, and grow together.
For the time being, Sunflower Music Ministry will be the name we use for our ministry activities while the ROS / KDN appeal process is ongoing. We will update everyone as soon as there is any official news regarding the organisation’s registration status.

📢 致所有向日葵志工与会员的重要通知
亲爱的向日葵家人、志工与会员们：
想跟大家分享一些关于 Sunflower 目前情况，以及未来发展的重要消息。
近日，我们收到马来西亚社团注册局（ROS）有关组织注册资格的通知。目前，我们正在准备向内政部（KDN）提出上诉，并会按照相关程序，继续跟进这件事情。
在这个过程中，我们希望大家保持平静，也请大家继续给我们一些时间和空间，让我们以合适的方式处理相关事务。
同时，也想让大家了解，自从 2023 年柔佛水灾之后，Sunflower 基本上已经没有再进行公众筹款（Public Donation），过去几年的公开活动和整体运作也有所减少。
因此，对我们目前所坚持的服务方向来说，组织是否拥有注册资格，并不会改变我们想要服务社区、关怀老人、透过音乐传递爱与喜乐的初心。
我们相信，一个组织最重要的，不只是一个名称或一个注册资格，更重要的是它存在的初心、所坚持的价值，以及它能够为社会带来的帮助。
过去几年，Sunflower 的活动虽然有所减少，但我们一直没有忘记当初成立这个组织的意义。
我们希望透过志工服务、音乐、关怀老人，以及帮助有需要的人，把爱与喜乐带给社区。
因此，在等待 ROS / KDN 进一步消息的同时，我们也计划以一个新的方向继续前进：

未来，我们希望把向日葵音乐事工发展成为一个以音乐传递爱、以服事连接人、以关怀温暖社区的平台。
我们期待透过音乐分享、慈善演出、探访老人院、社区关怀、志工活动，以及不同形式的爱心服务，让更多人感受到温暖、喜乐与希望。
🎵 音乐，不只是娱乐，也可以成为祝福。

目前，Sunflower Music Ministry 是我们在处理 ROS / KDN 相关程序期间，所使用的事工名称。有关组织注册资格的最新进展，我们会在有正式消息后，第一时间向大家更新。
