On 5 February 2026, at the Sheraton Hotel Petaling Jaya, the Malaysian Society of Nuclear Medicine & Molecular Imaging (MSNMMI), in collaboration with Novartis (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., organised a media engagement session to introduce and promote MyNuCLEaR: Malaysia Nuclear Medicine Care Locator, Education and Resources web portal.

MSNMMI was represented by its President, Dr Mahayuddin Abdul Manap, and Immediate Past President, Assoc. Prof. Dr Tan Teik Hin.

The MyNuCLEaR web portal was jointly developed by MSNMMI and Novartis with the objective of not only promoting nuclear medicine services in Malaysia, but more importantly, simplifying access to information related to nuclear medicine procedures, available services, and centres offering these services. This initiative aims to make nuclear medicine more visible and accessible to both the general public and clinicians.

Currently, Phase 1 of MyNuCLEaR has been completed and is available to the public. In the near future, we look forward to expanding MyNuCLEaR into its next phase, with more comprehensive information and additional resources for all users.

The session was highly engaging, with enthusiastic participation and numerous questions from media representatives, leading to fruitful and insightful discussions. It provided an opportunity for the media and public to better understand nuclear medicine and its services, while also allowing MSNMMI to gather valuable feedback on the MyNuCLEaR initiative and explore ways to further enhance the reach of nuclear medicine in Malaysia.

Overall, the event was both engaging and productive.
