As many of us return to our daily routines after Eid al-Adha, thousands of patients in Gaza continue a different journey: recovery.

For survivors of gunshot and blast injuries, healing often means months of surgeries, wound care, and rehabilitation. Recovery is rarely straightforward, and for many, it unfolds amid ongoing violence, displacement, and uncertainty.

Alongside local healthcare workers, MERCY Malaysia's Specialised Care Team (SCT) 13 continues to support the delivery of essential surgical care, helping patients regain mobility, function, and independence.

For many patients, recovery is not measured in days, but in the ability to walk again, return to school, earn a living, or care for their families.

Access to healthcare remains critical for thousands across Gaza. Your support can help ensure that lifesaving and specialised medical care continues to reach those who need it most.

Not everyone who is struggling will say it out loud.

Sometimes, the most important intervention is recognising the signs and knowing how to respond.

Through a Su***de Prevention and Management Training and Substance Abuse Prevention During Emergencies programme, MERCY Malaysia is strengthening community capacity to identify su***de risk, understand the links between mental health and substance use, provide initial support, and connect individuals to professional care.

Because prevention begins with awareness, and timely support can save lives.

Behind every statistic is a person, a family, a community in need.

As the humanitarian crisis in Sudan continues, millions remain without access to essential healthcare and lifesaving services.

Don't let silence be the response. Speak for Sudan.

For patients in Gaza, access to specialised healthcare depends not only on medical expertise, but also on the availability of essential supplies.

Through MERCY Malaysia’s support across three hospitals - Al-Shifa Hospital, Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, and Nasser Medical Complex, carbon dioxide gas is being supplied to surgical departments amid fears that depleted stocks may soon force services to stop.

These moments were captured through SCT13 at one of these hospitals; providing a glimpse into the wider effort unfolding across all three locations.

By helping restore these critical departments, patients can once again access vital diagnostic and treatment procedures when they need them most.

As Gaza’s health system continues to face immense challenges, every effort to sustain healthcare services helps protect lives and preserve dignity.

In a city where healthcare remains both urgent and fragile, continuity of care is a lifeline.

MERCY Malaysia continues to strengthen its primary healthcare response in Gaza, operating four Primary Health Centres across the Strip.

The Al-Zaitoun Primary Health Centre in Gaza City is currently in the midst of re-establishment, following generous support from Ops Ihsan, enabling the continuity and strengthening of essential services on the ground. As needs evolve, plans are also being considered to relocate the centre to a larger facility to better serve the community.

At present, the Al-Zaitoun PHC provides essential outpatient services including paediatrics, emergency care, and general practitioner consultations offering critical access to primary healthcare amid ongoing humanitarian needs.

Through sustained partnership and presence, MERCY Malaysia continues to support essential health services for communities in Gaza City and beyond.

Healthcare assistance in Sudan must continue to reach communities in need. Let us work. Let us continue to deliver life-saving care.

More than 3 million children under five in Sudan are at risk of acute malnutrition this year.

In Sudan’s Red Sea State, many families continue to face limited access to healthcare and essential services. Through MERCY Malaysia’s Mobile Clinic, vulnerable communities are able to receive critical medical care closer to home.

For families living through crisis, healthcare is more than treatment. It is a lifeline.
