Deep Condolence and Profound Grief 🕋🤲

On behalf of the Global Youth Development Council (GYDC), we express our deepest sorrow and heartfelt condolences on the untimely demise of Ambassador Noor Nahar Akter Mili, beloved wife of Ambassador Sohag Mohajon, Global Secretary General of GYDC, and the esteemed Treasurer of the GYDC Bangladesh Chapter.

Late Noor Nahar Akter Mili was a remarkable personality, a compassionate humanitarian, and a dedicated contributor to youth development and social welfare. Her vibrant and impactful life extended across both national and international platforms, where she actively engaged in numerous initiatives related to education, women’s empowerment, environmental protection, and humanitarian service.

As the Treasurer of GYDC Bangladesh Chapter, she carried out her responsibilities with utmost integrity, dedication, and professionalism. Her role in strengthening organizational structure, managing financial operations, and supporting impactful programs was invaluable. Her leadership, sincerity, and vision inspired many within the organization and beyond.

Notably, she stood firmly beside Ambassador Sohag Mohajon, continuously supporting and contributing to national and global humanitarian efforts. As a life partner and a committed co-worker in social service, she devoted her life to the betterment of society and the empowerment of youth.

Her untimely passing is an irreparable loss to the Global Youth Development Council family. We have lost a devoted leader, a passionate social worker, and an extraordinary human being.

We pray to Almighty Allah to grant her eternal peace, forgive her shortcomings, and bless her with Jannatul Ferdous. May Allah also grant strength and patience to the bereaved family during this difficult time. Ameen.

গ্লোবাল ইয়ূথ ডেভেলপমেন্ট কাউন্সিল (GYDC)-এর পক্ষ থেকে আমরা অত্যন্ত গভীর শোক ও ভারাক্রান্ত হৃদয়ে জানাচ্ছি যে, সংগঠনের গ্লোবাল সেক্রেটারি জেনারেল এম্বাসেডর সোহাগ মহাজনের সহধর্মিণী এবং গ্লোবাল ইয়ূথ ডেভেলপমেন্ট কাউন্সিল বাংলাদেশ চ্যাপ্টারের সম্মানিত ট্রেজারার এম্বাসেডর নূর নাহার আক্তার মিলি-এর অকাল মৃত্যুতে আমরা গভীরভাবে শোকাহত।

মরহুমা নূর নাহার আক্তার মিলি ছিলেন এক অসাধারণ মানবিক গুণাবলীর অধিকারী, নিবেদিতপ্রাণ সমাজকর্মী এবং যুব উন্নয়নের এক উজ্জ্বল নক্ষত্র। তিনি দেশ ও বিদেশে বিভিন্ন সামাজিক, মানবিক এবং উন্নয়নমূলক কর্মকাণ্ডে সক্রিয়ভাবে অংশগ্রহণ করেছেন। শিক্ষা বিস্তার, নারী ক্ষমতায়ন, পরিবেশ সংরক্ষণ এবং অসহায় মানুষের কল্যাণে তাঁর অবদান ছিল অনন্য ও অনুকরণীয়।

গ্লোবাল ইয়ূথ ডেভেলপমেন্ট কাউন্সিলের বাংলাদেশ চ্যাপ্টারের ট্রেজারার হিসেবে তিনি সততা, নিষ্ঠা ও দক্ষতার সাথে দায়িত্ব পালন করেছেন। সংগঠনের আর্থিক ব্যবস্থাপনা, কার্যক্রম বাস্তবায়ন এবং সামাজিক উদ্যোগগুলোকে এগিয়ে নিতে তাঁর গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা ছিল। তাঁর আন্তরিকতা, নেতৃত্বগুণ এবং মানবিক দৃষ্টিভঙ্গি সংগঠনের সকল স্তরে অনুপ্রেরণা জুগিয়েছে।

বিশেষভাবে উল্লেখযোগ্য যে, তিনি এম্বাসেডর সোহাগ মহাজনের পাশে থেকে সবসময় দেশ ও সমাজের উন্নয়নে নিরলসভাবে কাজ করে গেছেন। একজন সহধর্মিণী হিসেবে তিনি যেমন ছিলেন অনুপ্রেরণার উৎস, তেমনি একজন সহযোদ্ধা হিসেবে তিনি আজীবন মানবতার সেবায় নিজেকে উৎসর্গ করেছেন।
তাঁর এই অকাল প্রয়াণ গ্লোবাল ইয়ূথ ডেভেলপমেন্ট কাউন্সিল পরিবারের জন্য এক অপূরণীয় ক্ষতি।

আমরা একজন নিবেদিতপ্রাণ কর্মী, একজন মানবিক নেত্রী এবং একজন অসাধারণ মানুষকে হারালাম।
আমরা মহান আল্লাহ তায়ালার নিকট মরহুমার রূহের মাগফেরাত কামনা করছি। আল্লাহ তাকে জান্নাতুল ফেরদৌস দান করুন এবং শোকসন্তপ্ত পরিবারকে এই শোক সহ্য করার শক্তি দান করুন।আমিন।

Expression of Grief and Gratitude

With a deeply heavy heart and profound sorrow,I would like to inform that my beloved wife Nur Nahar Akter Mili,suffered a brain stroke while fasting during the holy month of Ramadan due to a heart tumor.After fighting with death for two days,she passed away on the night of the 10th(21st Ramadan).
Inna Lillahi Wa Innal iliaihi Raji’un.

In her personal life,Mili was a very soft-spoken, gentle,modest,and religious person.She had almost no worldly demands and remained content with very little. She was not only my beloved wife-she was my friend,my love,my sincere advisor,my co-fighter and my mentor.To the best of my knowledge,I have never seen her commit any wrongdoing or injustice knowingly.I do not know whether I was worthy of her as a human being,but in her thoughts,knowledge, education,intelligence, and wisdom, she was far ahead of any woman I have ever known.I always felt truly blessed and satisfied to have a life partner like her.

Her ideals and teachings are reflected in our only daughter, Umamah Binte Rahman SumognovMamuni.She always tried her best to raise our daughter in her own noble way.I pray to Almighty Allah to grant her the highest place in Jannatul Ferdous.

If during her lifetime she knowingly or unknowingly caused any pain or sorrow to anyone,I humbly request you all,for the sake of Allah, to forgive her.If she had any financial dues or obligations with anyone, please contact me- Insha’Allah I will repay them

She served with great dedication as the Treasurer of Global Youth Development Council Bangladesh Chapter and as the Organizing Secretary of Dhaka Youth Club International and she fulfilled all her entrusted responsibilities sincerely and properly.

On behalf of myself and the Global Youth Development Council,I express my deepest grief at her untimely demise.At the same time,I and my family express our heartfelt gratitude to the Global Committee and the chapters of Bangladesh, India,Nepal,Pakistan,UK Liberia,Malaysia, Bhutan, China, and Saudi Arabia;Youth Council of Bangladesh; Dhaka Youth Club International;Clean River Bangladesh; Bangladesh Liberia Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Bangladesh Liberia Friendship Society and to all those at home and abroad who sent condolence messages and statements, personally visited and supported my family, came to bid her farewell for the last time, participated in her Janazah and burial, visited her during her treatment and prayed for her in the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah.

I sincerely request everyone to pray for the forgiveness and eternal peace of my beloved wife’s departed soul. May Almighty Allah forgive all her minor and major,known and unknown sins, and grant her the highest place in Jannatul Ferdous.

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Global Youth Development Council (GYDC) extends our heartfelt greetings and congratulations to every woman around the world.

At this meaningful moment,GYDC proudly honors and respects all the courageous and inspiring women who continue to contribute to society with strength,dedication and leadership.We express our sincere gratitude to all the women members of the Global Youth Development Council Global Committee and the chapter committees in various countries who are tirelessly working for social welfare and youth development in their communities.
The Global Youth Development Council firmly believes that no society can achieve true success without the active participation and empowerment of women.Women are the pillars of family,society,and global progress. Therefore, GYDC strongly calls for ensuring the dignity, respect, safety, and equal rights of women everywhere in the world.

We also urge the international community, including the United Nations to strengthen global efforts to stop harassment, violence, and human trafficking against women, and to protect women leaders, organizers and entrepreneurs who are working for social change.

Finally,we express our deep appreciation and respect to the former President of GYDC Indira Rana Magar, Vice President Agnes Fortune Cannon, and all dedicated women members from different countries whose tireless efforts and commitment to youth development and social welfare continue to inspire us.We hope their dedication will continue to bring positive change and empowerment for women across the world.

Today, 16 February 2026 marks the 50th birthday of Md Asheque Kamal,Vice President of the Global Youth Development Council (Bangladesh ).

On behalf of the Global Youth Development Council Country Chapter, we extend our heartfelt birthday wishes and warm congratulations to him.

Major (Retd.) Asheque Kamal is a disciplined, honest, and patriotic individual. During his distinguished service in the army, he demonstrated exemplary leadership, integrity, and dedication to his nation. Even after his retirement, he has continued to serve society by actively contributing to youth development, social service, and humanitarian efforts.
His contribution to the Global Youth Development Council is highly valuable and deeply appreciated. Through his leadership, guidance, and experience, he has inspired many young people and strengthened the organization’s mission and activities.

Special Reception and Monthly Meeting of GYDC Bangladesh Chapter ❤️💐

The Global Youth Development Council (GYDC), Bangladesh Chapter successfully organized a Special Reception Ceremony and Monthly Meeting at the Kurmitola Golf Club Auditorium, Dhaka, with great honor and enthusiasm.

The event was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Mr. Sohag Mohajon, Global Secretay General of GYDC and Official Representative of the Republic of Liberia.He was warmly felicitated with floral greetings in recognition of his selection as the Official Representative of the Republic of Liberia and President of the Liberia–Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

On this occasion five distinguished officials of the GYDC Bangladesh Chapter were also honored for being elected to the Executive Body of the Liberia–Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Following the felicitation ceremony the regular monthly meeting of the GYDC Bangladesh Chapter was held, where important discussions took place regarding future initiatives, international cooperation, and youth leadership development.

The program concluded with a dinner, where all distinguished guests and members participated in a warm and friendly gathering.

This event marked a significant milestone in strengthening international relations, leadership, and cooperation between Bangladesh and Liberia through youth empowerment.

Courtesy Call Strengthens Youth Development and Bilateral Cooperation between Bangladesh and Nepal🇧🇩🤝🇳🇵

On Monday, 5 January 2026, a courtesy meeting was held at the Embassy of Nepal in Gulshan, Dhaka, between the Honorable Deputy Chief of Mission of Nepal to Bangladesh, Ms. Lalita Silwal, and Mr. Sohag Mohajon, Secretary General of the Global Youth Development Council (GYDC) and Consul of the Republic of Liberia for Princeville City.
The GYDC delegation also included
Dr. Zahid Ahmed Chowdhury, Joint Secretary;
Haji Mohammad Ibrahim, Bangladesh Committee

and Mr. Ferdous Alomgir Khan.
During the bilateral discussion, the Honorable Deputy Chief of Mission Ms. Lalita Silwal warmly congratulated Mr. Sohag Mohajon on his recent appointment as Consul of the Republic of Liberia and extended cordial greetings. The meeting focused on further strengthening the long-standing friendly relations between Bangladesh and Nepal, with particular emphasis on youth development, youth exchange programs, social welfare initiatives, educational cooperation, promotion of trade and investment, and future prospects in the context of regional and global political developments.

Both sides identified several promising areas for future collaboration between Bangladesh and Nepal, including youth leadership development, academic and scholarship exchanges, sustainable development initiatives, environmental protection, tourism promotion, skills development, cultural exchange programs, and bilateral delegation exchanges.

The meeting was held in a cordial and constructive atmosphere, reaffirming the shared commitment of both countries to deepen people-to-people ties and institutional cooperation. The courtesy call concluded with a commemorative photo session at the Embassy of Nepal.
