🇲🇾 Proofreaders & an editor required | Help Translate The Freedom of Thought Report Regarding Malaysia

Humanists Malaysia is looking for 2–3 meticulous community proofreaders and 1 professional Bahasa Malaysia language editor to help finalise the Bahasa Malaysia translation of the Malaysian chapter of Humanists International’s Freedom of Thought Report (see https://fot.humanists.international/countries/asia-south-eastern-asia/malaysia/).

This is an opportunity to contribute to the world’s leading annual report on freedom of thought, religion, and belief.

We are looking for people who can help ensure:
✅ Excellent Bahasa Malaysia grammar and style
✅ Linguistic accuracy and readability
✅ Cultural sensitivity
✅ Consistent socio-political and legal terminology

Project deliverables:
• A fully proofread and professionally edited final manuscript
• Sign-off by the Lead Translator and at least two independent proofreaders
• A documented glossary of key humanist and legal terms in Bahasa Malaysia for future editions

🌏⚡ ASIA’S HUMANIST MOMENT IS COMING.
The 2026 virtual Asian Humanist Conference is a mind-blowing event that will bring humanists, freethinkers, secularists, scholars, activists, and advocates from all over Asia together. It is organized by Humanists Malaysia, with the support of Humanists International. This conference will be one of the most important gatherings for humanists in the region in a long time, and it will be a great opportunity for people to connect and learn from each other.
We are strategizing the conference and we would like to hear from you. We are planning the programme, choosing speakers and thinking about what's important. During the conference, we will also discuss & strategize the Asian Humanist Statement 2026. We want your voice included from the very beginning.
