Some people can afford to drive luxury cars, but apparently cannot afford proper parking. πŸ˜…

Parking at the Loading Zone behind KK Mart may save a few steps, but it also means delivery trucks have nowhere to unload. When that happens, the trucks end up parking along Jalan 23, and before you know it, the traffic jam stretches all the way towards Mont Kiara.
Congratulations, your "5-minute parking" has successfully inconvenienced hundreds of motorists. πŸ‘

The Loading Zone is for loading and unloading, not for VIP parking, coffee breaks, or "I just want to Wait here".

Terima Kasih Tuan Yusri from Balai Polis Sri Hartamas

β˜•οΈπŸ€” A little mystery is brewing in Desa Sri Hartamas...

Some of you may have noticed a previously quiet corner lot along Jalan 24/70A suddenly coming to life.
The lights are on. The tables are ready. The aroma of kopi is beginning to escape into the neighbourhood.

The question is...
Where should Hartamas residents go for breakfast next?

Will this become the new destination for: πŸ₯š Half-boiled eggs
🍞 Roti bakar
β˜• Thick aromatic kopi
πŸ“° Morning catch-up sessions
πŸ˜… "Just 10 minutes" breakfasts that somehow become 1-hour gossip sessions

We won't reveal the name just yet.

For now, we'll leave you with these photos and let the community detectives do their work.

First person to correctly guess: πŸ“ Where it is πŸ“ What it is called πŸ“ And whether the kopitiam is good..earns absolutely nothing except bragging rights and the admiration of fellow Hartamas residents. πŸ˜†
So, neighbours, any guesses?

Auntie, Uncle, faster faster come makan your favourite hawker food at S11 Restaurant! πŸœβ˜•

Enjoy it while you can. From August 2026 onwards, DBKL will be commencing works to construct a new access road connecting Jalan 28 and Jalan 23. As part of the project, this open-air hawker area will be cleared to make way for the new road.

So if you've been craving the rojak, tauhu bakar, soup, char kuey teow or your regular kopi session, now is the time to support our local hawkers before they move on.

Don't wait until it's gone and then say, "Aiyo, should have come earlier!" πŸ˜„

Seven years of follow-up, meetings, letters, and persistence β€” finally, some good news for the community. Thank you to everyone who played a part in making this happen

We are pleased to share that following the recent announcement by the Datuk Bandar Kuala Lumpur and YB Hannah Yeoh, works to open up the back lane behind Kyomo Japanese Restaurant,( cuts through Restaurant S11 open dining), are scheduled to commence in August 2026.

This long-awaited access road will be constructed as part of a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative by the developer of Optimax Hospital, contributing towards improved accessibility and connectivity for the surrounding community.

This is a matter that our Association has been actively following up on for the past seven years. We would like to thank all parties involved for their support, commitment, and cooperation in bringing this long-standing issue closer to resolution.

We look forward to seeing the improvements enhance accessibility, connectivity, and convenience for residents, visitors, and businesses in the area.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this effort throughout the years

AED Now Available for Public Emergency Use at Bomba Sri Hartamas

An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) has been donated and is now available for public use at the Sri Hartamas Fire & Rescue Station (Bomba) for emergency situations.

This AED was generously donated by the mountain biking community in memory of a fellow cyclist who suffered a cardiac incident near Sri Hartamas Primary School. Although he was initially resuscitated at the scene, he sadly passed away while being transported to the hospital.

The handover and officiating ceremony was conducted by Hannah Yeoh at Bomba Sri Hartamas, with the participation of the surrounding residents' associations, including Mkrea KL Mont Kiara Residents Association and Desa Sri Hartamas Owners and Tenants Association.

This meaningful contribution will help improve emergency preparedness in the community and may one day help save lives. We extend our sincere appreciation to the mountain biking community for this generous donation and for honoring the memory of their fellow rider in such a meaningful way.

Community Notice

If you have any complaints that fall within the jurisdiction of DBKL, please assist by lodging a report directly via:
https://adukl.dbkl.gov.my/

Our Desa Sri Hartamas Owners and Traders Association is run entirely by volunteers. We are ordinary people with full-time jobs, businesses to manage, and families to care for.

Every issue raised requires time and effort β€” from lodging reports, following up with DBKL, attending site visits, meetings, and monitoring progress. All of this is done using our own personal time.

This is often a THANKLESS job. We understand that everyone wants their issue resolved quickly, but please do not be discouraged or upset if a particular matter has not yet been addressed. We ask for your understanding and support.

Instead of pouring cold water on the efforts of volunteers, please help us by lodging reports directly via Adu.kl and sharing the report details with us. The more people who participate, the stronger our collective voice becomes.

Who can join the Desa Sri Hartamas Owners and Traders Association as a member?

Membership is limited to individuals who have legal standing (locus standi) within Desa Sri Hartamas commercial, namely:

1. Business owners (Tenants)operating in Desa Sri Hartamas commercial with the relevant supporting documents; and/or
2. Shop owners (Landlords) in Desa Sri Hartamas commercial.

Why can't residents join as members?

The DSH Owners & Traders Association was established to represent the interests of business and commercial property stakeholders. Paid Membership therefore requires the necessary legal standing (locus standi) within the commercial area that the Association represents.

Lastly, a gentle reminder: the Association's volunteers are not employees, servants, or maids taking instructions from the community. We are fellow stakeholders volunteering our own time and resources because we care about Desa Sri Hartamas. We welcome constructive participation and would greatly appreciate more people stepping forward to help make our community better.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

Auntie, uncle, how's the new pavement?

No more Olympic-level balancing act required at Jalan 27. Now can walk safely, comfortably, and still have enough energy left for kopitiam.

We also accidentally took photo of cars crossing each other. The 2 newly constructed speed humps are working

Contractors exploited the long holiday period to push ahead with an illegal billboard structure.

Despite being instructed by DBKL to stop work and despite DBKL sealing the site and marking the metal structure for enforcement action, the contractor returned under the cover of darkness while residents were asleep. Concrete was poured overnight and the foundation works completed in an apparent attempt to create a "fait accompli" before further enforcement could take place.

DBKL has now formally issued a Stop Work Notice under Section 70 of the Street, Drainage and Building Act 1974, confirming that the structure was erected without the required written approval from the Mayor of Kuala Lumpur.

The notice requires the contractor and responsible parties to remove, demolish and clear the illegal structure immediately. No one should be allowed to profit from deliberately ignoring the law, disregarding public objections and occupying public road reserve land without approval.
