The Federation of Malaysian Business Associations (FMBA) was honoured to present The Malaysia Industry Book of Records to YAB Datuk Amar Haji Fadillah bin Haji Yusof, Deputy Prime Minister II and Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation.

The presentation was made by FMBA Chairman, Datuk Seri Dr Abdul Malik Abdullah, reflecting FMBA's commitment to recognising excellence and strengthening collaboration between the Government and Malaysia's business community.

𝐅𝐌𝐁𝐀 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲'𝐬 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐨 𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐓𝐚𝐱

The Federation of Malaysian Business Associations (FMBA) proudly participated in the Industry Press Conference on the proposal to abolish the Entertainment Tax, held on 8 July 2026 at NERO PJPAC, 1 Utama, Petaling Jaya.

FMBA was represented by its Chairman, Datuk Seri Dr Abdul Malik Abdullah, Deputy Secretary General, Dr Sri Ganesh Michiel together with the FMBA Council members and representatives from FMBA member associations, demonstrating the Federation's collective commitment to supporting policies that strengthen Malaysia's business environment and enhance the nation's economic competitiveness.

FMBA stands in solidarity with the tourism, hospitality, retail, creative, cultural and business sectors in supporting the industry's call to abolish the outdated Entertainment Tax.

The Federation believes that businesses should be supported through progressive, business-friendly and investment-driven policies that stimulate economic growth, attract investments, create employment opportunities and improve Malaysia's competitiveness as a regional destination for tourism, business, entertainment and events.

As the united voice of business associations across Malaysia, FMBA remains committed to working closely with the Government, industry stakeholders and policymakers to advocate for reforms that strengthen Malaysia's business ecosystem and support long-term economic prosperity.

Together, stronger associations build a stronger Malaysia.

Federation of Malaysian Business Associations extends its heartfelt congratulations to Mr. V.K.K. Rajasekaran on his election as President of the Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KLSICCI), as well as to the newly elected Council Members.

We wish them every success in their respective roles and are confident that their collective leadership, experience, and vision will further strengthen KLSICCI and contribute to its continued growth and success.

𝗙𝗠𝗕𝗔 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗔𝗚𝗠) 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗞𝗟𝗦𝗜𝗖𝗖𝗜

The Federation of Malaysian Business Associations (FMBA) was honoured to attend the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Election of the Kuala Lumpur & Selangor Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KLSICCI), a significant occasion that brought together members to review the Chamber’s achievements, discuss future directions, and elect its leadership team for the new term.

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) was officiated by FMBA Chairman, Datuk Seri Dr. Abdul Malik Abdullah, while FMBA was also represented by its Acting Secretary General, Dr. Sri Ganesh Michiel.

The gathering underscored the importance of strong leadership, good governance, and active member participation in ensuring the continued growth and success of business organisations. As a valued member organisation of FMBA, KLSICCI continues to play an important role in contributing towards the development of the Malaysian business community and strengthening the collective voice of businesses across the nation.

FMBA extends its heartfelt congratulations to the newly elected President and Council Members of KLSICCI and wishes them every success in carrying out their responsibilities and leading the Chamber to greater heights.

FMBA also records its sincere appreciation to the outgoing President and Council Members for their dedication, commitment, and invaluable contributions throughout their term of service. Their efforts have significantly contributed towards strengthening the Chamber, advancing the interests of its members, and fostering a vibrant business ecosystem.
