In the Philippines, it's common to hear people ask, “Sino ba 'yan?”, “Ano bang trabaho niya?”, or “May pinag-aralan ba 'yan?” before deciding how much respect to give someone.

It's something we don't always notice, but it happens every day in lines, at work, on the road, and even on social media. We often judge people first by their title, job, education, or status before simply seeing them as fellow human beings.

Maybe one habit we need to strengthen is this: giving respect first. Not because of someone's position, achievements, or credentials, but because every person deserves to be treated with dignity, no matter who they are.
