15 Aug - FFS organized a fund raising event to celebrate the culmination of an English drama program sponsored by Yayasan Lim Yee Hoh and supported by PJ Speech and Drama Centre. This drama program is part of FFS tuition program for the B40 children at PPR Desa Rejang. The event showcased students who participated in the drama class over a 6 month period.
What made this journey especially meaningful to FFS is seeing the children not only learn English, but gain the confidence to speak it — clearly, proudly and in front of an audience. Many of them once struggled to put an English sentence together. Seeing them now stand on stage, perform, speak and express themselves in English is a powerful reminder of what opportunity and encouragement can achieve..
We are also thankful to Encik Rosali, a resident at the PPR who was born without both hands yet lovingly created the children’s costumes.
The whole event was conducted in English from MC to speeches to performances. The narrators and performers are all students of FFS tuition program while the MC was their tutor.
