A food aid programme by the Free Food Society has been a lifeline for 85 poor families, but with funds running low, they are now appealing for help.

Anyone who wishes to support their mission can send donations to Persatuan Makanan Ehsan’s bank account 5643-2461-7332 at Maybank. All donations to FFS are tax exempt.

FFS tuition program at PPR Desa Rejang teaches English among other subjects like maths, science and sejarah. These two girls could hardly speak English before they started our tuition program and now they are quite confident in conversing with English. Both spoke off the cuff when we asked them about their English.

12 April - Free Food Society (FFS) held a Raya Open House for the B40 students under our tuition program at PPR Desa Rejang. We are so proud of our secondary students who achieved many A’s for their recent SPM. We held a little best dress competition and it was so cute to see the children who came all dressed up. We have been helping this PPR for a few years now with food aid and education. On top of the children showing remarkable results, our help has also created a positive energy in the community which otherwise, like most PPR, are inundated with problems from drugs to abuse etc.

19 Mac - last Iftar sponsored by FFS to Little Anna Kitchen who cooks for orphans and refugees. This Iftar was for refugees in Puchong. 100 pax of soup tulang and sambal telur.

18 Mac / 29 Ramadan - 3rd and last Iftar sponsored by FFS at Kuaters Institusi Pendidikan Kampung Jawa, Klang. Iftar was provided for 100 pax to the underprivileged and organised by Ustaz Ammar who made this last Iftar a little special with kambing bakar.

15 Mac - FFS distribution zakat rice donated to FFS to Asnaf, fakir miskin and ibu tinggal living in :

1. Kuala Rompin, Pahang
2. ⁠Bachok, Kelantan. (Where they also went to 6 schools to distribute to Asnaf children)
3. ⁠Kuala Muda, Alor Setar, Kedah
4. ⁠Taman Medan, Selangor
