A young Lime Butterfly caterpillar was observed feeding on citrus leaves at TMR3 SDG Park. At this early stage, the larva mimics bird droppings as a defense against predators.
The presence of both young and mature caterpillars is a positive indicator that the park's vegetation is supporting the complete breeding cycle of this native butterfly, demonstrating that the site serves not only as a habitat for adult butterflies but also as an important breeding ground that contributes to urban biodiversity and pollinator conservation.
