Humanitarian Service Project
Today, we distributed the selected sandals, socks, and slippers to our Down syndrome pupils at PDK Guchil, kuala krai. These items are very useful and convenient, as they provide many benefits for our pupils. They offer warmth, comfort, and protection for their feet indoors, while also serving as a hygienic barrier against dirt and cold, hard floors. In addition, they enhance safety by providing better traction, reduce foot fatigue through cushioning, and help improve posture and stability by supporting the arches of the feet.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to our sponsor for giving us the opportunity to serve the local community and support our pupils.

16/4/26 Hari Raya Celebtation at PDK Guchil
In conjunction with the Hari Raya Festival, We celebrated Hari Raya Puasa at PDK Guchil together with 45 DSC pupils and their families. We prepared green packets along with goodies and traditional foods for everyone to enjoy.
This is our signature annual project, and we celebrate it with them every year. The management of PDK Guchil and PDK Manai Urai greatly appreciates our collaboration, and the pupils always enjoy the event very much.

16/4/26 - REGION 1 FIRE RELIEF FUND to SJKC PIER CHIH
Thanks to our Lions Clubs International District 308-B1 for the allocation of RM5,000 to be donated to SJKC PIER CHIH for the purpose of Repairing the Fire-Damaged Facilities and restoration.

The donation was handed over by DC Alert Gordon Wong and assistant by DC Wan Siew Leng, witness by ZC Gary Chua, DC Steven , DC Francis Lim , DC Akemi and Lion Kent and were received by 署理董事长蔡尤明先生together with the School board members

We hoped that this contribution will help the school quickly restore a proper learning environment so that students can continue their studies with peace of mind.

Special thanks to DC Steven and President Wo of LC KB Centennial for their prompt reports for this Fire Disaster.

3/4/26 – Attending the DECC for Region 1 at Hong Bee Restaurant, PT 643-646Tingkat 3 Jalan Sri Cemerlang (303 Medan Selera) attended by 2 VDG candidates-Lion Norazmi Samsuri & 2. Lion Dennix Yeow

In conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebration, Zone 1 Lions clubs ( KB CENTENNIAL, KUALA KRAI, KB HOST AND TANAH MERAH ) collaborated with the Kuala Krai Hakka Association and other NGOs to organise a special project for 80 senior citizens at the Old Folks’ Home.
Each beneficiary received an ang pow, a lunch box accompanied by mandarin oranges (symbolising goodwill and best wishes for health, prosperity, and happiness in the New Year), Mixue fresh lemonade, and KFC chicken.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to our Lions Presidents and members, as well as the Hakka committee members, for their initiative, dedication, and commitment in making this meaningful project a success. Your collective efforts have created a lasting and positive impact on the lives of the senior citizens.
At the same time, we wish everyone prosperity, well-being, and success in the Year of the Horse.

During the dry season, there has been an increase in fire incidents in our surrounding areas. In response to this concern a Fire Prevention Awareness Programme was carry our at PDK Guchil involving our Down syndrome pupils and their parents.
The main objective of this programme was to educate pupils and the community on proactively reducing fire hazards, improving safety measures, and enhancing emergency preparedness. Key initiatives included:
• Installation and importance of smoke alarms
• Creating and practicing fire escape plans
• Hands-on training on proper fire extinguisher usage
• Raising awareness about high-risk habits such as unattended cooking and electrical overloading
Through this programme, participants gained valuable knowledge and practical skills to help prevent fire incidents and respond effectively during emergencies.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the Fire and Rescue Department of Kuala Krai and and PDK Guchil for their initiative, dedication, and commitment in making this meaningful project a success. Your collective efforts have created a lasting and positive impact on the lives of the pupils and the community.

12/3/26 - Attended the Kota Bharu Lions Club’s 65th Anniversary Gala Dinner , congratulations to the club and witnessed this meaningful milestone together with fellow Lions members. Over the past 65 years, the club’s dedication and hard work have brought countless acts of care and assistance to the community. Such long-standing commitment to service is truly admirable.
The evening was further enriched by the presence of representatives from sister clubs. Lions members from Japan, the Philippines, and Singapore travelled from afar to show their support, making the celebration even warmer and more meaningful.
We have a great time and congratulation for a job well done.

In conjunction with the fasting month, we collaborated with Kechara Soup Kitchen and KFC Kuala Krai for a meaningful food donation program.
We successfully collected chicken parts from KFC Kuala Krai and redistributed them to Down syndrome pupils, allowing them to enjoy the chicken as one of the dishes for their buka Puasa meal.
A heartfelt thank you to Kechara Soup Kitchen and KFC Kuala Krai for making this initiative possible. Together, we hope to bring warmth, joy, and nourishment to the community during this blessed fasting month.

REGION 1 Fellowship Pickleball Game – SPORT & HEALTHLY LIVING/MENTAL WELL BEING
We had a wonderful time at the 91 Pickleball Clubhouse, AEON Mall Kota Bharu during the REGION 1 Fellowship Pickleball Game. The session was filled with fun, laughter, and an enjoyable game for everyone.
Besides keeping us healthy and active, pickleball helps us feel energized, happier, and more positive. It is also a great stress-relieving activity that supports our mental well-being.
Most importantly, the event gave us the opportunity to strengthen our fellowship and interact more closely with fellow club members and our distinguished guests.
Special thanks to our DC Norazmi and guests PDG Dorothy, PED Kenny Low, and DC 1st VDG Serena for joining us and making the event even more meaningful.
Looking forward to more healthy, fun, and bonding activities together!
