SWEPA Dedicated to developing women entrepreneurs and professionals through continuous learning, leadership growth, and strategic networking.

Committed to deliver value to the community through impactful initiatives, collaborations, and empowerment programs. The idea for the formation of SWEPA was first mooted by the Sabah Women's Advisory Council in 1993 and the Pro-term Committee was headed by Datuk Nancy Ho, who later became the Founder President of SWEPA. Current SWEPA's Executive Committee sits for a two-year term from July 2025 to

June 2027. The current Team consist of :

The Presidential theme is : "RADIANCE". Membership is open to all Malaysian women aged 18 and above and Associate Membership is available for women holding foreign passports who are residing in Sabah permanently. All are welcome to our Biznet and Toastmasters Club meetings.

SWEPA Proudly Supports Cosmobeauté Malaysia Borneo Festival 2026

SWEPA is honoured to have been one of the supporting partners of the Cosmobeauté Malaysia Borneo Festival 2026 (CBMB 2026), held on 25–26 May 2026 at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC), Kota Kinabalu.

As the first-ever expansion of the renowned Cosmobeauté brand into East Malaysia, this milestone event marked a significant step in strengthening the beauty, wellness, and halal-certified industries across the Borneo region. Under the inspiring theme, “Beauty Beyond Borders,” the festival successfully brought together beauty professionals, entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and international brands on a dynamic B2B platform designed to foster collaboration, innovation, and business growth.

The event provided valuable opportunities for networking, business matching, knowledge sharing, and market expansion, while highlighting Sabah and Borneo’s growing potential as key players in the regional beauty and wellness industry.

SWEPA extends its sincere appreciation to Informa Markets Malaysia, the organisers of Cosmobeauté Malaysia Borneo Festival 2026, for the invitation and collaboration. 6-12 April 2026 :
SWEPA’s Program PEMERKASAAN EKONOMI KOMUNITI BANDAR 2026 in SANDAKAN

Our Working Team have just completed the 7 days / 6 nights PEKB 2026 program awarded by Kementerian Perumahan Dan Kerajaan Tempatan (KPKT) held at the Pavilion Hotel Sandakan from 06-12 April 2026.

🎯The whole training sessions has been carried out successfully and the working committees and trainers have contributed their utmost best to deliver all the relevant skills and topics of modules diligently as per planned.

All 40 participants have greatly benefited from this program.

Apart from 🔴Mobile Handphone Services training, they were also given guidance on 🔵Entrepreneurship, Social Media, Marketing and Simple Accounting.

We are happy that YB Vivian Wong, MP of Sandakan, came along to grace our Closing Ceremony which was also witnessed by the KPKT Timbalan Setiausaha Bahagian Puan Aida and her staff Puan Nurul Aini who flew all the way from Putrajaya to Sandakan to join us altogether.

Participants were happy and enthusiastic over this whole new skills and are hoping for more advance level in the near future.

As this is the 2nd time SWEPA is awarded this PEKB Program, we are very happy that everything runs smoothly again this round and we hope to attain good results from the participants where our Team will need to monitor and visit them over the next 12 months period.

Many thanks to all SWEPA Members for your direct and indirect support, trust and endurance in entrusting our SWEPA PEKB 2026 Team to conduct and managed this meaningful community driven project for the Golongan eKasih and B40 communities.

The 3rd International BE Forum was successfully held over two impactful days, on 4th & 5th February, at the prestigious Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC).

With the powerful theme “Global Collaboration Through Business Events,” the conference brought together industry leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and stakeholders from across the region and beyond. The sessions, discussions, and networking opportunities truly reflected the importance of business events as a catalyst for economic growth, knowledge exchange, and international partnerships.

SWEPA would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Organising Chairperson for BE Sabah, Datuk Dr. Hajah Rosmawati Haji Lasuki, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of SICC for the opportunity given to SWEPA to be part of this meaningful event.
