On 1 March 2026, JCI Kota Kinabalu had the pleasure of attending the open house hosted by the 2026 National Deputy President, who also served as the 2025 National Executive Vice President, at Leaders Room.

✨ Strategic Planning Committee Meeting ✨

JCI Kota Kinabalu conducted a Strategic Planning Committee Meeting to finalize the development direction for the next three years, setting a strong foundation for the organization’s future growth and impact.

The session was chaired by our 2002 President Donald Stephens, who also served as the 2005 National President, bringing valuable experience and strategic insights to guide the discussion.

The meeting gathered key past and current leaders, including 2025 President Ng Kang Jie, 2024 President Irene Chong, 2017 President Patrick Teo, 2004 President Joseph Selestine, and 2007 President Neelkrish Perumal. Together, they aligned on the core development strategies, focusing on sustainable growth, leadership continuity, and strengthening the organization’s long term vision.

This session reflects the importance of experience, collaboration, and forward thinking in shaping the future of JCI Kota Kinabalu. With strong leadership and clear direction, we are confident in building a more impactful and progressive chapter in the years ahead.

✨ YMM Sabah State Installation & Chinese New Year Celebration 2026 ✨

On 28 February 2026, JCI Kota Kinabalu had the honor of attending the YMM Sabah State Installation and Chinese New Year Celebration held at E West Restaurant.

The event was attended together with Area Chairman Loo, National Vice President Assigned Vun Jing, fellow Area Directors, and Local Presidents, bringing together leaders from across Sabah for an evening of celebration and fellowship.

The occasion marked an important milestone in celebrating leadership at the state level, while also embracing the festive spirit of Chinese New Year. It was a meaningful gathering that strengthened connections, fostered collaboration, and reinforced unity among JCI leaders in Sabah.

On 27 February 2026, JCI Kota Kinabalu members participated in the 360 Talent Briefing held via Zoom.

This session served as an introduction to a series of training programs designed to equip future leaders with the knowledge, mindset, and essential soft skills needed to take on higher leadership roles in the coming years. It is especially valuable for Past Presidents from local chapters who are preparing to grow beyond chapter level and contribute at a greater capacity.
