Gayu Guru Gerai Nyamai! 🌾✨

As we continue to celebrate the vibrant harvest season across Borneo, we extend our warmest wishes to all our friends, partners, and communities celebrating Pesta Gawai!

Though we are based amidst the beautiful mangroves of Sabah, the spirit of gratitude, unity, and deep respect for the land connects us all. From the golden paddy fields to the rivers and forests that sustain us, this festive season reminds us of our shared responsibility to honor and protect our natural heritage.

May this Gawai bring you and your loved ones an abundance of blessings, good health, and enduring prosperity. Oooohhaaa! 🪵🦜

Wishing everyone a blessed and peaceful Vesak Day. 🌸✨

Today, we join our community in observing Vesak, a sacred time to reflect on the values of peace, compassion, and mindfulness.

The lotus flower, beautifully featured on our poster, carries a powerful message. It thrives in muddy, wetland waters, yet emerges clean, serene, and remarkably beautiful. It is a timeless reminder that even in challenging environments, life can flourish with resilience and grace.

As we celebrate today, let us extend that spirit of kindness not only to one another but also to the natural world around us. May your day be filled with light, harmony, and reflection. 🌱🕊️

Kotobian Tadau Tagazo Do Kaamatan! 🌾✨

Today, we join the whole of Sabah in celebrating the beautiful spirit of the Harvest Festival. This year’s theme, "Kaamatan: Harvesting Unity, Celebrating Harmony" (Mongomot Pisompuruan, Mamaramai Piunungan), reminds us of the deep connection between our communities, our cultural heritage, and the land that sustains us.

At Sabah Wetlands Conservation Society, we believe that preserving our natural environment—from our dense mangroves to our golden paddy fields—is a collective journey rooted in harmony. Just as we nurture the earth, let us continue to nurture unity and respect for one another.

May this festive season bring abundance, peace, and joy to you and your loved ones.⛰️🦅
