WHO WE ARE?

“Soroptimist” is derived from two Latin words, “soror” meaning sister and “optima” meaning “best”. It stands for “women at their best helping others to be their best”. Soroptimist International is a global volunteer movement working together to transform the lives of women and girls. Our network of over 80,000 club members in 129 countries and territories works at a local, national an

d international level to educate, empower and enable opportunities for women and girls. VISION

Soroptimists work together in a spirit of friendship and fun to make the world a better place for all. Members are encouraged to be aware of and involved in local and global issues. A Friendship Link system encourages joint projects between clubs in developing countries by clubs in developed countries. SISEAP COC2026 comes to a close with a true Diversity of Colours. It was a night of tribute and tradition - honouring changemakers and leaders in our Soroptimist sisterhood. Friendships were forged and rekindled. And the dance floor was kept busy all night long!

200 women.
13 countries.
3 days.
1 purpose.

Together, we are stronger.

With that, COC2026 is officially closed and we'll see you in New Zealand in 2028!

A total of 112 mangrove saplings were sponsored and planted at the KK Wetlands today - a meaningful contribution to safeguarding coastal resiliency and supporting long term environmental sustainability.

The saplings were sponsored by SI clubs from the South East Asia-Pacific region including personal sponsorships from SI members.

We love that the SI sisterhood is further cemented in our commitment to environmental sustainability and addressing climate change. Always stronger together!
