Sabah Tourist Association (STA) was established on 26th November 1963 and officially registered with Registrar of Society (ROS) on 16th March 1966, with (Registration No. 151), making it the oldest Tourism NGO in Sabah. STA has been serving and supporting the tourism industry since 1963, working closely alongside the State's Sabah Tourism Board and Ministry of Tourism, Culture & Environment S

abah as well as the Federal's Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board and Ministry of Tourism Malaysia in its ongoing marketing and development of the tourism industry in the Sabah.

Fifteen (15) STA members participated in a 2D/1N familiarisation (FAM) trip to Sabah Tea Resort, Ranau and Perkasa Hotel Holdings, Kundasang from 3 - 4 June 2026

The FAM trip provided STA members with product updates on Sabah Tea Resort and Perkasa Hotel Holdings, while offering first-hand experience of their facilities, services, and unique offerings. The trip also aimed to gather feedback, enhance product knowledge, and strengthen networking and relationship building among STA members, hosts, and tourism industry partners.
