🌹Liu Clan Youth Unite Across Districts – A Life-Saving Mission of Love and Hope🌹
KOTA KINABALU, October 2025 — Over the weekend (October 18–20), the Youth Wing of the Liu Clan Association of Kota Kinabalu, Sabah successfully held our annual blood donation drive at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC).
This year, our effort went beyond a simple act of giving blood — it became a heartfelt show of unity and compassion that reached across districts. ❤️
Over two days, 126 volunteers joined the cause, with 78 successful donors, contributing much-needed blood supplies to Queen Elizabeth II Hospital.
In the spirit of solidarity, our youth team also prepared 30 special care packs for the Malaysian Red Crescent Papar Chapter, which held its own blood donation event on the same day. This simple gesture bridged two meaningful missions — symbolizing friendship, support, and shared purpose in saving lives.
We are deeply grateful to our Organizing Chairperson Jeviria Liew and Youth Vice-President Leo Liew, who led with passion and teamwork, bringing together both young volunteers and elder members.
As Leo shared, “Seeing our youth and seniors working hand in hand was truly touching. This cross-generational collaboration is the key to our success.”
Our heartfelt appreciation also goes to Liu Clan Chairman Peter Liew, Liu Clan Youth President Mervin Liew, and all council members for their steadfast support — as well as Dr. Safini Binti Mat Ali and her team from the Transfusion Medicine Department, Queen Elizabeth II Hospital, for ensuring all procedures were carried out safely and professionally.
As Organizing Chairperson Jeviria Liew expressed, “Blood has no boundaries — and neither does kindness. When we learned that Papar was also hosting a donation drive, we wanted to show our unity through small but meaningful action.”
This event is a reminder that the strength of our community extends far beyond our own circle. When hearts unite, the power of love and hope can cross any boundary. ❤️
Thank you to every donor, volunteer, and supporter who made this event possible.
Together, let’s continue to spread the spirit of the Liu Clan — one of unity, compassion, and life-giving purpose. 💪
