Sabah Kinabalu Pink Ribbon (SKPR) was invited by Kelab Rekreasi Pacuan Empat Roda Penampang (KRPER Penampang) to participate in their 3-day event aimed at raising funds for SKPR while at the same time spreading breast cancer awareness to the public.
The fundraising activity was carried out through the program “Joy Ride with the Champions for a Good Cause”. Members of the public who donated RM20 were given the opportunity to experience a real off-road challenge track in fully kitted 4x4 rigs driven by champion drivers.
The participating drivers were:
1. Lung Lung from Lozai Engineering & Pinkie
2. Ah Kiong from Powergine with his Borneo Safari Hattrick Champion vehicle
On 22 May 2026, I was invited to attend the Flag Off Ceremony held at Majlis Perbandaran Penampang together with our EXCO Secretary, Ms.Gracie Lim The flag off was officiated by the President of MPP -Ydh. Puan Noemi Dyena John Tren.
On 23 and 24 May 2026, SKPR conducted breast cancer awareness outreach activities at the 4x4 site located at Kg. Duvanson, Putatan.
The Closing Ceremony on 24 May 2026 was officiated by YB Dato' Sri Dr Anil Sandhu (Pembantu Menteri Pembangunan Belia, Kemajuan Sukan Dan Ekonomi Kreatif) , who also contributed a donation towards SKPR.
Due to heavy rain during the event, normal vehicles were unable to access the site and we had to walk into the area. Thankfully, the 4x4 participants assisted in transporting our tables and event items into the site.
Through the “Joy Ride with the Champions for a Good Cause” activity, we successfully raised a total of RM5919.00 for SKPR.
