Established in 2019, Gagasan Mahasiswa Undang - Undang Sabah is a platform acting in the interests of Sabahan law students in both private and public institutes either within or outside Malaysia.

On the 20th September 2025, GUNS successfully hosted our Law Meet-Up event at 1985 Café, Living Space.

We would like to give our heartfelt thanks to all participants for taking the time to attend and actively contribute to the discussions. From ice-breaker games to discussions on youth in politics, cultural diversity and so on, everyone actively shared their ideas, debated challenges and proposed solutions to the issues discussed.

Thank you to and for actively sharing their insights throughout the session, where their contributions made the discussion a lot more eye-opening and meaningful.

Moreover, we’d like to graciously extend our biggest thanks to for his generous sponsorship for the food and beverages. Their support truly means a lot to us and to the success of this meet-up event.

Sabah faces many pressing issues, from indigenous rights to natural resource management, and from migration concerns to governance. How do these issues shape our understanding of law and society?

GUNS is excited to announce our upcoming event.

✨ Law Meet-Up: Law, Society, and Sabah’s Future ✨

Consisting of two sessions, this event is an informal gathering aimed to provide an insightful platform for meaningful discussions, connecting with peers, creating a safe space where voices can be heard and ideas can be exchanged amongst students and members of GUNS, whilst encouraging collaboration in addressing legal and political concerns occurring in Sabah. 🌏⚖️

🗓 Date: 20th September 2025, Saturday
⏰ Time: 12:30 PM – 5:00 PM
📍 Venue: The 1985 Coffee & The Living Room located at Plaza 333, 1st Floor, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

🍴Please note: Food will not be provided. Participants are welcome to order their own meals directly from the café.

🌐 For those who aren’t located in KK, we hear you! We have given an online option via Zoom for participants who can’t make it physically. The link will be shared out a few days before the event starts and to anyone who have signed up.

Greetings from GUNS! We are delighted to share with you some moments from last Wednesday’s visitation to Dewan Undangan Negeri(DUN) Sabah. 🏛️

Here, we like to extend our sincerest gratitude to the staffs including Tuan Hafeez, Puan Rafidah as well as YB Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Kadzim bin Haji M. Yahya for the warm welcome and great insights during the visit.💐🙏🏼
