Founder’s Run
Most people who run love the finish line.
Not just because the race is over, but because of what waits there — the applause, the photos, the medal around your neck.
No matter how tired you are, there is comfort in knowing that every step is taking you somewhere. The finish line is always ahead.
But over the years, the Foundation has met many people whose journeys look very different.
For a dialysis patient, there is no finish line after this week's treatment. When one session ends, another is already waiting.
For a family relying on Food Provision support, getting through this month does not mean the struggle is over. Next month arrives with the same bills, the same worries, and the same need to keep going.
For parents raising children with disabilities, care is not measured in days or years, but in decades.
Sometimes, we think the hardest part is the sprint.
Then we realise that what is truly difficult is continuing to move forward when you cannot see the finish line — or whether there is one at all.
It has been a month since Founder’s Run.
And perhaps that is the thought that has stayed with us the most.
Thank you to everyone who ran, supported, and stood with us.
Because every step taken that day became part of something bigger — helping the Foundation continue serving people whose challenges do not end when the race does.
The runners crossed their finish line.
But for many in our community, the journey continues.
