Rejoin Collective

Delving into the crowd.

We embed ourselves as an integral part of the community, and in turn, the community must intertwine with us, forming a unified whole, mutually supporting one another. "Collectivism" shall emerge as the highest expression, encompassing collaborative creation, shared knowledge acquisition, collective progress, and communal coexistence.

Photowalk Vol. 1

Thank you Kim Boon for co-organising Photowalk Vol. 1 with us! ☺️

The market has always been a place where we regularly host our activities. Through today’s photowalk, we once again saw the market from different photographers’ perspectives, and it almost felt like getting to know the market all over again.

More than 30 participants with different photography backgrounds and levels of experience joined us. Some used professional cameras, some photographed with their phones, while others brought film cameras — each documenting the same space in their own way. Every photograph tells its own story, which made the experience truly interesting.
We were also very touched to see some participants travelling from afar just to join this event.
Thank you to everyone who made this photowalk possible. It is because of you that this event feels complete.

We hope to meet all of you again in Vol. 2, and hopefully many more photowalks to come.
Looking forward to the next photowalk — where will it be? 😎

Lastly, thank you Mr Banana for sponsoring the bananas! 🍌
We would also like to thank all the Rejoin members for their support and help behind the scenes. Special thanks to Ashton Fong for his dedication and wholehearted support throughout the planning and ex*****on of this photowalk. 🫡🙏🏻 Also, thank you Gunz Striker for making this collaboration possible!

Rejoin Collective is honoured to welcome renowned photographer Kim Boon for the opening chapter of our Photowalk Kluang Series 📸

Vol.1 begins where it feels most familiar — at Pasar Awam Kluang.
A place we have long been rooted in, observing, working, and growing alongside its community.

This first edition invites you to slow down with the morning market —
to notice how light slips between stalls,
how gestures repeat,
how everyday rhythms quietly shape the identity of a town.

Led personally by Kim Boon, the session moves between guided shooting and a gentle photo review — not as a classroom, but as a shared conversation about composition, light, and visual storytelling.

Open to photographers of all levels.

The event “After One Hundred Days” has come to an end, but the conversation about death and life has not.

This time, the camera no longer focuses only on the craftsmen, the rituals, or the space itself.
Instead, it turns toward you—those who came.
Some stepped into a memorial hall for the first time.
Some carried memories of loved ones.
And some simply wanted to understand one question:
Why do we talk about death?

Within these honest and quiet reflections, death is no longer just an ending.
It becomes a way to rethink time, relationships, and how we choose to live.

🎥 This film captures the participants’ feelings—hesitation, realization, and reflection.
It is what “After One Hundred Days” truly leaves behind.

Because when we are willing to talk about death,
L I F E is finally seen, reflected upon, and treasured.

With the Majlis Perbandaran Kluang (MPK) set to begin the demolition and renovation of the Coronation Hawker Centre, Rejoin Collective team went on-site on December 1 to document and preserve the valuable hand-painted signboards.

These hand-painted signs are becoming increasingly rare and should be regarded as local cultural assets to be preserved. We will begin planning an exhibition to continue sharing the stories behind these signboards.

If shop owners would like to keep their original signboards, please feel free to reach out to us.

Kian),

🎥 A Hundred Days · Names on Stone

On every tombstone lies more than a name — it holds years of memories and longing.
We step into the world of a master stone engraver:
from hand-carving gravestones in cemeteries as a young craftsman,
to engraving names with a sandblaster in today’s columbarium.
Times have changed, and so has he.
But his reverence for words — and for remembrance — has never wavered.

In the film, you’ll see moments between him and his son:
from a blank slab of stone to a name slowly emerging.
It’s a craft passed from one generation to the next,
and a silent bond between father and son.

🪶 Craft endures. Memory lives on.
