Growing your business doesn’t always begin with finding new customers. Sometimes, it starts with following up on an enquiry you already received.

An unanswered quotation, a product question or a “let me think about it” deserves a clear next step.

Here’s a simple habit to try:
✅ Record each customer enquiry.
✅ Assign someone to follow up.
✅ Set a date for the next action.
✅ Offer helpful answers and respect the customer’s decision.

A shared spreadsheet is enough to get started. The key is consistency—and making every follow-up useful.

At SME Association of Selangor, we encourage members to exchange practical ideas, learn from one another and explore better ways to grow together.

Dear SME Selangor Members,

The world is changing faster than ever. AI is no longer the future — the AI world is already here.

As SME owners, we cannot afford to ignore this transformation. AI will change the way we operate, communicate, sell, manage costs and make decisions. Some traditional jobs and business models will inevitably change.

But we should not look at AI only as a threat. It is also an opportunity.

My advice to all our members is simple: learn, adapt and embrace AI. Start small. Understand how AI can improve productivity, reduce repetitive work and help your business become more competitive.

Technology will continue to evolve. Those who are willing to adapt will be better prepared for what comes next.

Don’t be afraid of change. Learn to use change to your advantage.

Together, let us prepare our SMEs for the AI era and build stronger, smarter and more resilient businesses.

亲爱的雪兰莪中小企业公会会员们：

世界正在以前所未有的速度改变。人工智能（AI）已经不再是未来，而是已经来到我们身边。

身为中小企业经营者，我们不能忽视这场转型。AI 将改变我们的营运方式、沟通模式、销售策略、成本管理，甚至影响企业未来的决策与竞争力。一些传统的工作岗位和商业模式，也势必面对改变。

但是，我们不应该只把 AI 看成一种威胁，它更是一个新的机会。

我想提醒大家：学习 AI、适应 AI、善用 AI。

我们不需要一步到位，可以从小处开始，了解如何利用 AI 提高生产力、减少重复性的工作、降低营运成本，让企业变得更有效率、更有竞争力。

科技不会停下来等我们。未来真正的竞争，不一定是人与 AI 的竞争，而是懂得运用 AI 的企业，与还没有开始运用 AI 的企业之间的竞争。

不要害怕改变，我们更应该学习如何利用改变，为企业创造新的机会。

AI 时代已经来了，让我们一起学习、一起转型、一起成长，让雪兰莪的中小企业走得更稳、更远。
