Directions

The Rotary Club of Ampang meets every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month at 6:30pm in
Read Masonic Centre, 1 Jln.

OUG , 58200 Wilayah Persekatuan,
Kuala Lumpur. The Rotary Club of Ampang was chartered on June 26, 1984. Its Charter President was PDG CP Dr Ken KHOO, and it currently has 25 active members. The majority of new members in recent Rotary Years have been women, and many new members are under the age of 45, giving RCA a good gender and demographic foundation for the next 30 years of its existence. The club sponsors 1 Interact club, and two Rotaract clubs, both in the Malaysian Rotary District of 3300. In August 2014, Ampang Rotarians trained members of the Indigenous Peoples' mountain community in the Province of Abra, Northern Philippines, to set up the first Rotary Community Corps of Tuquib which RCA now co-advises together with the RC of Bangued, Abra, PH. RC Ampang uses its FB Page to inform its members, associated Rotary partners (Interactors, Rotaractors, Rotary Community Corps, Sister Rotary Clubs (In Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan), Friendship Rotary Clubs), all our friends and contacts, throughout Malaysia, and in other countries, of the club programmes and activities as it seeks to put into practice the Rotary Principle of "Service Above Self." We hope the page will also serve as an introduction to what it means to be a Rotarian in this organisation which is now into its second century of existence, there being 1.22 million Rotarians in over 35,000 clubs throughout the world. Char Kueyteow Joint Fellowship with RC Ampang - Bandar Utama

Each of us had the wonderful opportunity to cook char kueyteow alongside our Chief, PP Sonny Yeoh. It was a truly meaningful and memorable fellowship.

We were also treated to a delicious Special Yam Sago bubur , made with love by Madam Swan Sim (wife of CP Ken Khoo). Her homemade asam buah-limau kasturi was a lovely touch, and we're grateful that proceeds from it will support future charity projects for RC Ampang. A big thank you to everyone who supported this initiative!

President Aleem delivered a warm welcome address and shared his future plans. He also expressed his excitement for our upcoming Joint Meeting in September. President Andrew of -RCBU was mentioned during his speech, particularly regarding the inspiring story of a Navy woman who served the country and later wrote books on military life.

We look forward to more meaningful fellowships and joint projects ahead!
