Rotary Club of Ampang The Rotary Club of Ampang meets every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month at 6:30pm in
Read Masonic Centre, 1 Jln.

OUG , 58200 Wilayah Persekatuan,
Kuala Lumpur. The Rotary Club of Ampang was chartered on June 26, 1984. Its Charter President was PDG CP Dr Ken KHOO, and it currently has 25 active members. The majority of new members in recent Rotary Years have been women, and many new members are under the age of 45, giving RCA a good gender and demographic foundation for the next 30 years of its existence.

The club sponsors 1 Interact club,and two Rotaract clubs, both in the Malaysian Rotary District of 3300. In August 2014, Ampang Rotarians trained members of the Indigenous Peoples' mountain community in the Province of Abra, Northern Philippines, to set up the first Rotary Community Corps of Tuquib which RCA now co-advises together with the RC of Bangued, Abra, PH. RC Ampang uses its FB Page to inform its members, associated Rotary partners (Interactors, Rotaractors, Rotary Community Corps, Sister Rotary Clubs (In Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan), Friendship Rotary Clubs), all our friends and contacts, throughout Malaysia, and in other countries, of the club programmes and activities as it seeks to put into practice the Rotary Principle of "Service Above Self." We hope the page will also serve as an introduction to what it means to be a Rotarian in this organisation which is now into its second century of existence, there being 1.22 million Rotarians in over 35,000 clubs throughout the world. We just attended the Intercity Meet in Langkawi, hosted by RC Langkawi. and still riding the wave of great conversations, shared purpose, and warm Rotarian spirit.

Beyond the agenda, the real highlight was the fellowship and hospitality. The northern Rotarians welcomed us like family. It reminded that service is important โ€” but friendship and warmth are what make Rotary years truly enjoyable.

Held on ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ“๐ญ๐ก ๐Œ๐š๐ซ๐œ๐ก ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ”, our meeting at ๐‘๐ž๐š๐ ๐Œ๐š๐ฌ๐จ๐ง๐ข๐œ ๐‚๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ซ๐ž was made even more special with members dressed in ๐Œ๐š๐ฅ๐š๐ฒ ๐“๐ซ๐š๐๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐€๐ญ๐ญ๐ข๐ซ๐ž in celebration of ๐‡๐š๐ซ๐ข ๐‘๐š๐ฒ๐š ๐€๐ข๐๐ข๐ฅ๐Ÿ๐ข๐ญ๐ซ๐ข.

We were honored to have ๐ƒ๐†๐„ ๐‘๐š๐ฃ and ๐ƒ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐ข๐œ๐ญ ๐’๐ž๐œ๐ซ๐ž๐ญ๐š๐ซ๐ฒ ๐ƒ๐ž๐ฏ๐ข๐ค๐š, who shared valuable insights and emphasized the importance of attending the ๐ƒ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐ข๐œ๐ญ ๐‹๐ž๐š๐ซ๐ง๐ข๐ง๐  ๐€๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฆ๐›๐ฅ๐ฒ (๐ƒ๐‹๐€), highlighting how it strengthens leadership, planning, and overall club effectiveness.

This initiative supports ๐–๐จ๐ฆ๐ž๐ง ๐Ÿ๐ซ๐จ๐ฆ ๐’๐ž๐ฅ๐š๐ฒ๐š๐ง๐  ๐๐š๐ก๐š๐ ๐ข๐š, who have been guided and empowered by ๐’๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ž๐ซ ๐๐ž๐ซ๐ญ๐ก๐š, a dedicated nun who has long been helping the less fortunate by teaching practical skills and encouraging ๐‡๐จ๐ฆ๐ž-๐๐š๐ฌ๐ž๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฌ so they can earn a sustainable income for their families.

Through this program, the women produce traditional snacks and baked goods such as ๐Œ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฎ๐ค๐ฎ, ๐€๐œ๐ก๐ข ๐Œ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฎ๐ค๐ฎ (๐Š๐ฎ๐ข๐ก ๐‘๐จ๐ฌ), ๐Œ๐ข๐ฑ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ž, ๐‘๐ข๐›๐›๐จ๐ง ๐Œ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฎ๐ค๐ฎ, ๐๐ข๐ง๐ž๐š๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ž ๐“๐š๐ซ๐ญ๐ฌ, ๐š๐ง๐ ๐’๐ฎ๐ ๐ž๐ž ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐œ๐ฎ๐ข๐ญ๐ฌ, enabling them to support their families with dignity and independence.

The project was ๐ฅ๐ž๐ ๐›๐ฒ ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐‚๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐’๐ž๐ซ๐ฏ๐ข๐œ๐ž ๐ƒ๐ข๐ซ๐ž๐œ๐ญ๐จ๐ซ ๐๐ ๐’๐จ๐ง๐ง๐ฒ, while the initiative was ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐ž๐š๐ซ๐ก๐ž๐š๐๐ž๐ ๐›๐ฒ ๐ˆ๐๐ ๐‰๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ฒ, who also generously ๐๐จ๐ง๐š๐ญ๐ž๐ ๐ญ๐จ๐ฐ๐ž๐ฅ๐ฌ for the bakery team.

Members of the club came together in strong support of this effort:

Earlier in the day, members gathered for ๐Ÿ๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฐ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ง๐œ๐ก at ๐’๐ก๐ฎ๐ง ๐‰๐ข๐ž ๐’๐ž๐š๐Ÿ๐จ๐จ๐ ๐‘๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ๐š๐ฎ๐ซ๐š๐ง๐ญ, strengthening Rotary friendship before proceeding to ๐…๐ฅ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐๐จ๐ฐ๐ž๐ซ ๐๐š๐ค๐ž๐ซ๐ฒ to deliver the donated items and collect membersโ€™ orders in support of the womenโ€™s business.

The evening began with warm ๐Ÿ๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฐ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐๐ข๐ง๐ง๐ž๐ซ, bringing together members in the true spirit of Rotary.

The meeting was emceed by ๐๐ ๐’๐จ๐ง๐ง๐ฒ, followed by the singing of the ๐๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐€๐ง๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐ฆ โ€“ ๐๐ž๐ ๐š๐ซ๐š๐ค๐ฎ. The ๐‹๐จ๐ฒ๐š๐ฅ ๐“๐จ๐š๐ฌ๐ญ was delivered by ๐€๐ฅ๐ž๐ž๐ฆ, after which the ๐๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐œ๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ž๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ฆ๐ž๐ž๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ญ๐จ ๐จ๐ซ๐๐ž๐ซ, officially commencing the session.

A meaningful highlight of the evening was the ๐๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐•๐จ๐œ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐€๐ฐ๐š๐ซ๐ to ๐Œ๐ฌ. ๐Œ๐š๐ซ๐ข๐ฅ๐จ๐ฎ ๐’. ๐‚๐ก๐ข๐ง, recognizing her dedication, professionalism, and outstanding contributions in her field. The award reflects Rotaryโ€™s commitment to honoring individuals who exemplify excellence, integrity, and service through their vocation, inspiring others in the community.

Members were also informed about an ๐ฎ๐ฉ๐œ๐จ๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐œ๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐ฃ๐ž๐œ๐ญ in conjunction with ๐ˆ๐ง๐ญ๐ž๐ซ๐ง๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐–๐จ๐ฆ๐ž๐งโ€™๐ฌ ๐Œ๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ก. This ๐’๐š๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐๐š๐ฒ, the club will be visiting a group of women in ๐“๐š๐ฆ๐š๐ง ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ฆ๐š, ๐’๐ž๐ฅ๐š๐ฒ๐š๐ง๐  under the โ€œ๐…๐ฅ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐๐จ๐ฐ๐ž๐ซ ๐–๐จ๐ฆ๐ž๐ง ๐‚๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฃ๐ž๐œ๐ญ.โ€

Yesterday, we had the wonderful privilege of attending the ๐‰๐จ๐ข๐ง๐ญ ๐‚๐ก๐ข๐ง๐ž๐ฌ๐ž ๐๐ž๐ฐ ๐˜๐ž๐š๐ซ ๐‚๐ž๐ฅ๐ž๐›๐ซ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง, jointly organized by ๐‘๐‚ ๐๐ฎ๐ค๐ข๐ญ ๐๐ข๐ง๐ญ๐š๐ง๐ , RC Cheras , ๐‘๐‚ ๐€๐ฆ๐ฉ๐š๐ง๐ , , ๐‘๐‚ ๐“๐ž๐ฆ๐ž๐ซ๐ฅ๐จ๐ก, ๐‘๐‚ ๐๐š๐ง๐๐š๐ซ ๐”๐ญ๐š๐ฆ๐š and โ€” a true celebration of ๐Ÿ๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฐ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ, ๐œ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐š๐ฅ ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ, ๐š๐ง๐ ๐‘๐จ๐ญ๐š๐ซ๐ฒ ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐ข๐ซ๐ข๐ญ.

The evening was filled with ๐ฐ๐š๐ซ๐ฆ๐ญ๐ก, ๐ฅ๐š๐ฎ๐ ๐ก๐ญ๐ž๐ซ, ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ ๐ซ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐ญ๐ฎ๐๐ž, as Rotarians from different clubs gathered not just to welcome the Lunar New Year, but to strengthen bonds of ๐Ÿ๐ซ๐ข๐ž๐ง๐๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ, ๐œ๐จ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐š๐›๐จ๐ซ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง, ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ฌ๐ž๐ซ๐ฏ๐ข๐œ๐ž. The vibrant decorations, joyful performances, and shared meals reminded us that Rotary is not only about projects โ€” it is about ๐ฉ๐ž๐จ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ž, ๐ก๐ž๐š๐ซ๐ญ๐ฌ, ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐จ๐ ๐ž๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐ซ๐ง๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ.

This celebration beautifully reflected the spirit of ๐ก๐จ๐ฉ๐ž, ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ, ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ, ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ง๐ž๐ฐ ๐›๐ž๐ ๐ข๐ง๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฌ, reminding us that when Rotarians come together, we create not only memorable moments โ€” but also stronger communities.
