On 29 September 2026，the Department of Occupational Safety & Health (JKKP) held an engagement session with MCVTA.

The session provided an opportunity for MCVTA and JKKP to openly discuss the challenges faced by the industry, areas for improvement, and practical ways forward.

MCVTA appreciates JKKP for the open and constructive engagement, and look forward to a continuous collaboration towards a more efficient and practical process for the industry.

Throwback | MCVTA Networking Lunch 2026 🚚🤝

6 August 2026 - A great afternoon of meaningful conversations, industry sharing and networking with fellow commercial vehicle industry players.

Industry members came together to discuss some of the key challenges and issues affecting the commercial vehicle industry — from PUSPAKOM inspection and overloading concerns to axle load limits.

We also exchanged ideas on alternative vehicle inspection arrangements and sustainability initiatives.

It was a valuable opportunity for industry players to connect, share experiences and work towards practical solutions together.

On 14 July 2026, MCVTA paid a courtesy visit to the Land Public Transport Agency (APAD) at the Royal Selangor Club, Dataran Merdeka, followed by a productive discussion session.

The meeting provided an opportunity for MCVTA to introduce the Association to APAD, build a positive working relationship, and exchange views on matters of mutual interest. Both parties also agreed to a future engagement through quarterly meetings.

Following the meeting, MCVTA will consolidate the key issues discussed, develop the relevant recommendations and proposals, and submit them to the Secretary General of the Ministry of Transport (MOT) for further consideration, with the aim of facilitating the implementation of the recommendations.

MCVTA appreciates APAD's time and openness in engaging with the Association. We look forward to building a strong partnership through regular dialogue and collaboration.

MCVTA Meets with YB Sim Chon Siang to Address Lifting Equipment Industry Challenges

MCVTA was honoured to meet with YB Sim Chon Siang, Chairman of the Pahang State EXCO Committee for Consumer Affairs and Human Resources, to discuss challenges faced by the lifting equipment industry in its dealings with DOSH.

During the meeting, MCVTA presented several areas within the current regulatory and approval processes that require improvement to enhance efficiency, reduce unnecessary delays, and support industry growth while maintaining the highest safety standards.

We are encouraged that the issues raised have been acknowledged and will be brought forward to the relevant authorities for further discussion.
MCVTA extends its sincere appreciation to YB Sim Chon Siang for his time, attention, and willingness to assist the industry in addressing these important matters.

We remain committed to working collaboratively with government agencies and industry stakeholders to build a more efficient, safe, and sustainable lifting equipment industry in Malaysia.
