A Meaningful Engagement with KPDN Malaysia 🇲🇾
We are truly honoured to have been warmly welcomed by Dato’ Rohaizi bin Bahari, Setiausaha Bahagian, Bahagian Perdagangan Pengedaran dan Perniagaan, KPDN Malaysia, together with his team.
Representing the Companies of Industry and Trade Association (CITA), I had the privilege of leading our delegation as President, together with Mr Jimmy Ngah, Vice President on various current issues affecting businesses and industries in Malaysia.
Among the key topics discussed were:
• Recent FDI / WRT application and SOP matters
• Foreign worker application and related industry concerns
• SIRIM-related issues involving industrial products
• The Pinduoduo (拼多多) issue, particularly matters relating to free delivery, customs clearance and cross-border e-commerce
• Other practical challenges faced by businesses and industry players
We greatly appreciate Dato’ Rohaizi’s openness in listening to the concerns and suggestions raised by our members. Many of our industry points were taken into consideration for further engagement.
This is exactly what CITA aims to achieve — to connect businesses with policymakers, bring industry voices to the right platforms, and work together towards a more business-friendly and sustainable business environment in Malaysia.
We sincerely thank KPDN for the warm reception and valuable dialogue. We look forward to closer and continuous engagement between KPDN and CITA, and to contributing constructively to Malaysia’s trade, industry and business ecosystem.
Together, we listen. Together, we engage. Together, we build. 🇲🇾🤝
