The purpose of this page is to reach out and provide support to families affected by Thalassemia and to spread awareness on the disease. General Information
Thalassemia is a major public health concern in Sabah and is also the commonest inherited blood disorder in Malaysia. As it is genetically linked screening plays an important role in preventing the spread of Thalassemia. Thalassemia does not only impact on the patient but also on the family as it requires life long treatment which is costly.
