04.05.26:~ Syukur dan terima kasih YB Datuk Wilson Ugak anak Kumbong, Timbalan Menteri Digital 🙏

Tuai Rumah Dennis telah menerima penyaluran Dana Fasa 1 di bawah Projek Mesra Rakyat (PMR) bagi pembinaan sistem perparitan secara gotong-royong — satu usaha yang bukan sahaja meningkatkan kemudahan, tetapi juga mengeratkan semangat komuniti.

Penyerahan oleh Encik Seta dan Penghulu Manyi sebagai wakil kepada YB Datuk Wilson Ugak Kumbong, disaksikan oleh penduduk rumah panjang, membawa makna besar buat seluruh komuniti.

25.4.26:~ 🌿 Steps Through Heritage, Paths of Unity 🌿

What started as a simple recce turned into something truly meaningful. Communities from Amang Ulu, Tatai Emas Tatai Mas Raweng & Tatai Tebelian longhouses (Rh Dennis, Rh Peter, Rh James) came together, walking side by side to rediscover the route leading to their traditional cemetery — a journey deeply rooted in heritage, respect, and connection.

The path wasn’t easy… but it was beautiful.
We hiked across rolling hills, crossed gentle rivers and navigated ravines — each step revealing how well-preserved and cherished this land is by its people. 🌄💧

Along the way, we moved through farmlands lovingly tended by the community — a reminder that this land is not just soil, but identity, livelihood, and legacy.

Moments like these go beyond a walk — they strengthen bonds, revive shared history, and reaffirm the community’s commitment to preserving both nature and tradition. 🤝

Aum Besai – Stronger Together 🤝

A meaningful gathering was held with the presence of:
Amang Ulu (Tr Dennis Langok)
Tatai Mas (Tr Peter Engkeng)
Tatai Tebelian (Tr James Ganya)
Wakil Tatai Mas Raweng (Mr Richard & Pn Christina)
Future representative of Tmn Bian Hua (Tr Tanduk)

✨ The session was also well attended by members of the longhouses & community living in the area, reflecting strong local support and unity.

Key Agenda: Proposal to build an access road to the old cemetery site at Ng Sibilat, Ulu Sg Amang.

The session opened with a warm welcome from Tr Dennis, who expressed appreciation for the encouraging turnout and togetherness shown ❤️

In a truly inspiring moment, all family heads came together and agreed to allow the access road to pass through their land—free of charge. This remarkable spirit of cooperation highlights the strength of our community.

With this positive response, we are now one step closer to ensuring a smooth process in applying for the necessary grants.

SIDS Unit Sg. Amang Ulu representatives attended the Bengkel Pemerkasaan – Setiausaha & Bendahari organised by SIDS Pampang Kapit on 1st March 2026 at Dewan Suarah Kapit.
This meaningful workshop focused on governance, proper documentation and effective management of association records. Our representatives showed strong readiness to enhance their roles and align with the main SIDS Kapit Branch. It marks an important step towards strengthening governance and ensuring systematic administration across all units.
Thank you to the organisers and our dedicated representatives for making this initiative a success. 🥰💐

📅 7 March 2026:
🏠The residents of Rumah Dennis Langok, Sg Amang Ulu gathered for the 1st Community Meeting (Aum) of 2026 with encouraging attendance and strong support.
🔑 Key matters discussed included the closing of the JKKK account for 2025, updates on completed MRP projects, presentation of proposed minor projects for 2026, and plans to reactivate & improves the longhouse rules and regulations.
Tuai Rumah expressed appreciation to all residents for their strong support and commendable attendance at the first Aum of the year.

01.02.26:~ Strengthening Community Preparedness (Memperkukuh Kesiapsiagaan Komuniti) 🔥🚨

Kapit Fire Brigade led by En Charlie, En Budiman accompanied by other officers paid a visit to JKKK Rumah Dennis for a dialogue session to understand the community’s needs on fire safety counter measures and disaster readiness. A meaningful engagement towards building awareness, strengthening preparedness, and ensuring the community is better equipped in facing future emergencies. Together, we build safer and more resilient communities.

Keselamatan bermula dengan kita. Ia adalah tanggungjawab bersama komuniti untuk melindungi rumah dan orang tersayang. Marilah kita sentiasa berwaspada, saling menjaga antara satu sama lain, dan memastikan langkah keselamatan sentiasa dipatuhi. Bersama-sama, kita membina komuniti yang lebih selamat. 💛🏡

12.01.26~ A big thank you to Jabatan Bomba & Penyelamat Malaysia Negeri Sarawak for the generous contribution of a boat, engine, and fire safety supplies to support our community’s preparedness and safety.
The asset was officially handed over to the Assistant Tuai Rumah by Ketua Balai PPgB Timoty on 12.1.26, symbolising strong collaboration between the authorities and the community in enhancing fire safety and emergency response, especially in riverine areas.
This meaningful support will greatly strengthen our community’s ability to respond swiftly and effectively during emergencies. Truly appreciated — together, we build a safer and more resilient community. 💪🔥🚤

🎄✨ Pre-Christmas Fellowship with SIDS Kapit ✨🎄 ~ 19.12.25~
Serakup Indu Dayak Sarawak (SIDS) Kapit Branch recently organised a joyful Christmas Dinner for its members, bringing everyone together in the spirit of unity, gratitude, and celebration.

We are delighted to share that SIDS Unit Rumah Dennis ladies led by Mdm Gado Gerek were honoured to attend this meaningful gathering. The ladies from Rh Dennis expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the invitation and were truly happy to support the event organised by the SIDS Kapit Pengerusi Mdm Annie Anthony Belikau.

This dinner was more than just a celebration — it was a wonderful opportunity to mingle, strengthen friendships, and foster closer ties among fellow SIDS members, while embracing the joy of Pre-Christmas togetherness.

Our longhouse residents showed true dedication by teaming up to dismantle the old gazebo. Why? To create more parking spots for our growing community needs! 😊 From start to finish, it was all hands on deck—proving that together, we can transform any space.
