Kangar 6 Oct – The night sky over Perlis was illuminated by a spectacular full moon rising above the limestone ridges of Keteri Hills, marking the appearance of this year’s Hunter’s Moon. The phenomenon which follows the Harvest Moon, traditionally signified a time when hunters relied on the extended moonlight to track game before winter.

This year’s event was made even more remarkable as it coincided with a supermoon, when the Moon reaches its closest point to Earth, appearing larger and brighter than usual. The strong lunar pull also resulted in higher than normal tides along the coast of Kuala Perlis, a natural occurrence known as a perigean spring tide.
