Big turn out on 15 August meeting (with guests!): achievement unlocked!

As usual, at OUM Toastmasters Club, you have to "Open Ur Mind" and "Open Ur Mouth" (some speakers use those as OUM accronym 😆). It looked like every came to the meeting open minded and spoke.

Thank you to everyone who attended, participated, and contributed to making Meeting #290 a fun and great meeting. And also special thanks to our General Evaluator, Ling En Han (Phoenix TMC), for joining our meeting and providing feedback including comment on the club's social media 😆. There're some things you don't expect General Evaluator to notice but this was the most unexpected!

Thank you again for coming to our meeting. Hope to see you all again in the next meeting!

In this meeting, some speakers have named OUM as "Open Your Mouth," "Open Your Mind." Perhaps our future name now we're not meeting at OUM? 😏

This meeting could be summarised with the speakers' quotes:
"Want to be a better version of your self? The stage is yours." (Suga).
"The biggest enemy of your achievement is comfort. (JP).
"Never doubt your ability, never limit yourself. The gift you are looking for may already be in you.” (Lena)

A casual dinner together among some members last Friday after a week of work. To build a strong club, we need to build strong relationship with one another. Strong relationships can lead to effective teamwork and productivity.

There is a saying that one joins an organisation is because of what he/she wants; but why one stays in the organisation is because of the people there. The club focuses a lot of side activities to foster relationships such as this. So, the committees are energised to organise great meetings for you.
