A huge thank you to ATC Cleantec Sdn Bhd for hosting the UTAR IChemE Student Chapter on 29 April 2026! 🙌⚙️

Our members gained a comprehensive look at the industry, from the precision of electroplating and anodizing to advanced coating technologies. We also explored the critical industrial wastewater treatment systems used to remove heavy metals before safe discharge. This visit perfectly bridged the gap between engineering theory and professional industrial operations. 🔬🌊

Join us for an inspiring journey into “The Engineer’s Journey: From Graduate to Industry Leader” hosted by Mr. Wei Chen Tan! This talk will explore the real-world career progression of a chemical engineer and provide valuable insights into the engineering industry.

Mr. Wei Chen Tan, General Manager of Planning and Optimisation at PRefChem, holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical Engineering) from the University of Malaya. He has extensive experience in refining, production management, supply chain optimization, process safety, asset reliability, and production integrity.

From observing the treatment systems in action to understanding how safety and efficiency are maintained in real industrial settings, the visit provided valuable insights into how theory is applied beyond the classroom.

A huge thank you to Vitagen Malaysia for welcoming and hosting us during our site visit on 11 March 2026! 🏭✨

It was an amazing experience for our members to explore large-scale probiotic drink production, quality control processes, and industrial operations firsthand. The visit was both insightful and inspiring, giving us a deeper understanding of the industry.

Today’s classroom looked a little different! 👀🍞

We had an exciting site visit to Gardenia where we got to see how our favorite bread is made from mixing the ingredients to baking and packaging. Watching the entire process come to life was both eye-opening and inspiring.

A great experience that turned simple bread into a story of technology, teamwork, and passion behind every loaf! ✨
