Objectives
The Student Representative Council (SRC) shall act in accordance with UTAR Student Code of Conduct, UTAR Rules & Regulations and the objectives of the Council as follows:

a) To encourage and promote intellectual, spiritual, emotional and physical development among the students of the University. b) To participate in the organization and supervision of, subject to the direction of the

President, student welfare facilities in the University including recreational facilities, social, spiritual and religious activities. c) To make representations to the President on all matters relating to, or connected with, the living and working conditions of the University. d) To be represented on any body which may in accordance with any rule made by the Council for the purpose, be appointed to undertake student welfare activities in the University. e) To undertake such other activities as may be determined by the Council from time to time.

As the new semester begins, the VOY SRC has launched this student feedback survey to gain a better understanding of student’s perspectives and needs regarding campus life. Through this survey, we hope to learn more about students’ campus experiences, current concerns and expectations regarding student welfare, campus facilities, safety and campus-related matters.

All responses will serve as valuable reference for future student affairs and campus improvements, while ensuring that students’ voices are better heard and represented.

We sincerely encourage all UTARians to fill the form and share your thoughts and suggestions. Scan the QR code to access the survey. All responses are anonymous.

The VOY-SRC announces that the examination results for April and May 2026 will be released progressively on May 21, May 29, and June 9 according to the respective degree programmes and faculties.

Regardless of the outcome, every examination is an opportunity for growth and improvement. It is the perseverance shown throughout the learning process and the challenges overcome that are the true rewards.

May every student achieve excellent results, enjoy a bright future, and have all things go smoothly.

From the 22nd to the 24th of June, the Student Representative council will be holding the “The Unseen Hands” event for the upcoming gender equality week. To ensure a smooth and successful event, we are formally recruiting passionate UTARians volunteers.

In this event, you’ll be able to learn how to organize and plan large-scale events, as well as obtain effective communications techniques and teamwork capabilities.

The Student Representative Council will also be providing the following amenities for free:
- Food and beverages
- Specialized event t-shirts
- USDDC Points

All volunteers are free to choose their departments: Decoration Team / Logistics Team / Programmes Team / Publicity Team.

A meticulously planned event is about to be unveiled.

Not all violence leaves behind visible scars.

They hide beyond screens, using critical eyes to strip away your bodily autonomy and carry out an anonymous judgment.

They lurk in the shadows, watching your every move, following you from dimly lit street corners all the way to the glow of a screen. Waiting for an opportune moment to strike.

This June, during Gender Equality Week, we invite you to re-examine the biases we often take for granted, and uncover the true force that is pulling the strings behind the scenes.

Hear the voices that have been silenced, and confront the realities that have often been overlooked.

Is it the relentless insults hurled from behind the safety of phone screens, or the suffocating weight of public judgment？

Slowly, silence and shame has become an unspoken norm under the structure of our society.

But this time, we’re dissecting this structure, taking it apart and unmasking the true culprit.

Now, the answers shall be unveiled.

The VOY-SRC has successfully completed the interview and aid distribution process for the LIT (Light in Toughness) Project as student assistance programme this semester. The project aims to provide timely financial support to students facing economic difficulties, helping to ease the burden carried by both the students and their families.

We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to all recipients for their cooperation throughout the application process and for attending the aid handover session.

The LIT (Light in Toughness) Project was established to support students in need during challenging times.The council believes that every act of care and support can help a little for others, and we hope this assistance will bring strength, encouragement, and hope to students as they overcome their difficulties.

This year’s Club and Society Congress was held by the VOY-SRC this semester.

The congress brought together student representatives from various clubs and societies to discuss the challenges they face during their everyday operations. In an independent discussion environment, the representatives were able to share their concerns and the difficulties they experienced, as well as collectively explore practical solutions to overcome their predicament.

On top of that, the congress also managed to help identify and organize common issues faced by clubs and societies. Through these conversations, the participants were able to gain better ideas and more practical approaches to handling similar obstacles in the future.

优大青年之声学代会于本学期召开了本年度学会与社团大会。

本次大会汇集了各学会与社团的学生代表，围绕当前学社在运作过程中所面对的实际问题展开讨论。在相对独立的讨论环境下，各学社代表得以表达面对的困难与挑战、分享实际经验，并共同探讨具可行性的解决方案。

本次大会不止于意见交流，也针对各学社在实际运作中面对的问题进行了讨论和整理，协助各学社在面对类似问题时能有更明确的解决方案。

Labour Day isn't just a holiday, but a day to commemorate the workers who fought for their rights and stood against exploitation.

Workers across all industries contribute tirelessly with their own hands to advance the development of the nation and society. They are truly an indispensable force behind national progress. Therefore, their hard work deserves recognition, and their rights should be firmly protected. The government should introduce more policies to safeguard workers’ legal rights, prevent exploitation, and ensure their future security.

No profession is superior or inferior to one another, thus every job deserves the same level of respect and appreciation.

On this occasion, the VOY-SRC wishes everyone a Happy Labour Day!

Are your clubs or societies having ideas for events or projects, but are unable to carry them out due to insufficient funding?

To support the development of UTAR's clubs and societies, the VOY-SRC is officially launching a funding assistance program called「DreamFund」, by providing financial aid to societies and clubs in need so that more ideas can be brought to life.

This program is open to clubs and societies that intend to organize events or carry out projects but lack sufficient funds. Eligible applicants may scan the QR code in the image during the application period to fill in the form.

Please note that each club or society is only entitled to one application. We recommend planning ahead and preparing complete materials before submitting your application.

Application Period: April 20, 2026 – May 20, 2026
Review Period: May 21, 2026 – June 20, 2026
Results Announcement: June 22, 2026

The Council will look forward to witnessing the ideas of various clubs and societies come to life, as well as including more meaningful activities to the campus.
