Team HeatMapX joined Jabatan Perpustakaan UTM and the PPR Kenari, Kangkar Pulai community for Citizens Science Boot Camp 2026, a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative featuring experts from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).

🌟 Citizens Science Boot Camp 2026 🌟

🌡️Kenapa Cuaca Sekarang Panas? 🚁

On 25 July 2026, Team Jejak Pulau Haba Bandar Nur Fazira from Geomatic Innovation Research Group (GnG) joined Jabatan Perpustakaan UTM and the PPR Kenari, Kangkar Pulai community for Citizens Science Boot Camp 2026, a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative featuring experts from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).

Through drone-based thermal heat mapping, participants discovered how geospatial technology can:
🌡️ Identify Urban Heat Island (UHI) hotspots.
🌍 Improve our understanding of local climate and rising temperatures.
📊 Support evidence-based urban planning and climate resilience.
🤝 Empower communities through Citizen Science by turning data into meaningful action.

When communities understand the science behind rising temperatures, they become part of the solution. Together, we can build smarter, cooler, and more sustainable cities for future generations.
