Johor Area Rehabilitation Organization is an organization providing training and workplace for OKU's around Johor Bahru area specializing in custom-made handicrafts and binding services. 'JARO' is a Rehabilitation Center and Workshop for the physically, intellectually and visually challenged. It's mission is to rehabilitate disabled people by training them and assisting them to obtain normal emplo

yment. JARO also provides them with employment in a sympathetic work environment aimed at giving the rehabilitees independence and dignity. We currently employ 60 OKU's at our center.

One of our customer brought a chair for repair (the dark brown one). We found it to be in bad shape and recommend to make a new chair instead. Customer was so impressed that they ordered a total of 5 chairs. All the chairs were made by our Disabled Craftsman at JARO'S Basketry workshop

JARO in collaboration with Renaissance Hotel Johor Bahru will be opening our sales booth and a live rattan weaving demonstration during their special Hi-Tea Buffet on 27th June 2026 from 2pm to 5pm. The Hi-Tea is being offered at a very affordable rate with an array of delicious food and drinks. Do come over on this day and support us while indulging in some delicacies. After many months of slow precision handwork our Sewing workshop team have completed this one of a kind gorgeous patchwork comforter. It comes with 2 inches of batting and plain white fabric edges. Measuring at 100inch x 95inch. Completely handsewn and make by our disabled trainees. Selling at RM 550.00.
p.s. its pretty heavy as well and will definitely keep you warm
