🦁💙 Sometimes, fulfilling a child’s wish begins with simply listening.
Lions Club of Skudai, together with Lions Club of JB Austin 新山奥斯汀狮子会, recently handed over the “My Little Wish · 我的小小愿望” Wish Cards to Ward 8, Hospital Sultan Ismail (HSI), Johor Bahru.
The Wish Cards provide children undergoing treatment with a simple and meaningful way to express something they wish for. ✨
A toy. 🧸
A book. 📖
An experience they have been looking forward to. 🌈
Or perhaps, simply something that can bring a little joy during a difficult time.
💭 The heart of this initiative is to start by listening.
Instead of asking:
“What can we give the child?”
We first ask:
“What do you wish for?”
The wishes collected will be reviewed and, where possible, connected with suitable community resources and support, with the hope of turning some of these little wishes into meaningful moments of happiness.
To us, a small wish may seem ordinary.
But to a child going through treatment, that little wish may become something to look forward to — a moment of joy, comfort and hope. ❤️
Through this initiative, we hope to remind every child that their voice matters, their wishes matter, and they are not alone.

有时候，实现一个孩子的愿望，第一步不是给予，而是先认真听。
新山奥斯汀狮子会与士姑来狮子会，将 「我的小小愿望」心愿卡 移交给新山苏丹依斯迈医院（HSI）第8病房，为正在接受治疗的孩子提供一个简单而温暖的方式，让他们亲手写下自己的小小心愿。✨
也许是一件玩具 🧸
也许是一本书 📖
也许是一个期待已久的体验 🌈
又或者，只是一件能够让他们在治疗期间多一点快乐与期待的小事情。
💭 这个计划最重要的，是先倾听孩子的声音。
我们不是先问：
“我们可以给孩子什么？”
而是先问：
“你有什么愿望呢？”
收集到的心愿将进一步进行了解与整理，并在可行的范围内连接社会资源与支持，希望让其中一些小小的愿望，有机会慢慢变成真实而美好的时刻。
对我们而言，也许只是一个简单的小愿望。
但对正在接受治疗的孩子而言，这份小小的心愿，却可能成为他们在艰难时期里，一份值得期待的快乐与希望。❤️
我们希望通过这个小小的行动，让孩子知道：
你的声音有人听见，
你的愿望有人在乎，
你并不孤单。

Sometimes, the first step to fulfilling a child’s wish is simply to listen.
Lions Club of JB Austin 新山奥斯汀狮子会 , together with Lions Club of Skudai , handed over the “My Little Wish · 我的小小愿望” Wish Cards to Ward 8 of Hospital Sultan Ismail (HSI), creating a simple way for children undergoing treatment to express something they hope for.
A toy.
A book.
An experience they have been waiting for.
Or perhaps, simply something that gives them a little joy during a difficult period.
The idea behind the Wish Card is not to begin with what we think a child needs, but to begin by asking:
“What do you wish for?”
The wishes collected will then be reviewed, and where possible, suitable community resources and support will be connected to help turn some of these little hopes into meaningful moments.
For an adult, a small wish may seem ordinary.
For a child going through treatment, it can become something to look forward to.
Listen to the child.

对我们而言，也许只是一件很简单的事。
